I meaaan there are some places that have tribal people. But mostly no. Honestly it seems kind of like if you set the game in modern France and had some guys running dressed up as knights.Sure.
Do black people in America not eat chicken and watermelon? Do Asian people not wear paddy hats and eat rice? Imaginary of a black person eating KFC is not inherently racist in and of itself. You can do it in a way that doesn't invoke the harmful stereotype that was perpetuated during minstrel show era. And that's my issue with the depiction of Africans in RE5. It could have been done with deference to the culture and history of West Africa. But it wasn't. It leaned into stereotypes of Africans being primitives and savages. Many of you really think that Africans are primitives and savages so you won't be able to see the issue anyway.

But I don’t know the story of the game. Maybe it’s fine. I don’t really care much and I’m not personally offended anyways
Underrated co-op. It was a lot of fun.Was a lot of fun co-op
No, it wasn't. It was one of the few games that allowed anything like a decent co-op, but I would believe it isn't as fun as you remember it being. It was a poorly done game that tried to do too much after the success of 4.Was a lot of fun co-op
This was my thought when it first launched. It's not like they set it in NYC and only those of African Descent can be infected and must be killed. No one balked when it was in Spain and EVERYONE killed was Spanish, except for the one white guy. But when they go to Africa, which is made up of Africans, and then there are a lot of Africans... it's racist?I played through it all.
Wasn't great, wasn't terrible.
I don't think that it's worth revisiting.
I don't care about the politics behind it. Africans can be infected too.
Thank you for your service sirImportant enough for you to keep posting in the thread, and I didn't even tag you!
Anytime, son.Thank you for your service sir
I played it like 3 times back to back with my cousin. No, it wasn't. It was one of the few games that allowed anything like a decent co-op, but I would believe it isn't as fun as you remember it being. It was a poorly done game that tried to do too much after the success of 4.
They're right that the game should not be remade. But mostly because it sucked.
Never played RE5, any good?
I heard it wasn't as good as 4.
It’s meant for co op. Beyond that its cheeks…Never played RE5, any good?
I heard it wasn't as good as 4.
I thought it was okay. Verging on good if you aren't expecting a Resident Evil game. It is way more action than survival horror, which I think is what most people have a problem with. But I still liked it. If you have a 360 kicking around you can get it for like $5Never played RE5, any good?
