Rewatch biggest mismatch in MMA History

In the broader scheme of things, the biggest mismatch in the UFC was clearly

BROCK LESNAR v MARK HUNT (UFC200)

... the mismatching started a few months before the fight

Yuji Nagata

Definitely the toughest MMA career ever. Also, can't forget...

Maybe some of you remember Paulo Costa vs. Hendricks at MW. Hendricks was a fat, undersized, welterweight in that fight. And Costa was just Costa, except that people didnt really know him at the time. Costa completely ran through Hendricks.

What was that stupid fight that happened these last couple of years where some guy with an atrocious record came in and fought Semelsberger because he was Nick Diaz' mate.

Yeh, that was hilarious. He got signed to the UFC coming off 2 losses in Bellator/WSOF and a draw against cans, and then got KOd in 15 secs lol.

Oddly enough, he got a sub win over Geoff Neal back in the day.

Was GSP vs. Bisping card iirc. Ate a bazookie, but can't recall the entree. Was there with my current girlfriend and the waitress was someone I knew from middle and high school who worked at Hustler casino and I would see her during those cards. Yea, first day had a body armor too, light blue bottle. Think it was triple berry, and I recall thinking it was nasty cold and I left it in the car, because you can't bring outside drinks or food. Recall getting into the car and drinking it warm and I've loved Body Armor ever since.

Why did that happen?

I have absolutely no idea lol. That lady fought three times and lost all of them by KO in under 30 seconds and looks like she's never trained in her life. What possessed her to think taking professional MMA flights was a good idea is beyond me

For real though probably the biggest mismatch in modern UFC history is Chad Mendes vs Cody McKenzie. Absolutely ludicrous matchmaking.

it always amazes me that cody mckenzie is (was?) a pro fighter, that he has a winning record, that he made it to the ufc, and that he managed to win 3 fights there. he’s so awkward and unathletic, and that version of chad was probably the best fw never to become champ. still, in all fairness, cody proved to be remarkably dangerous with his guillotine, so perhaps the matchmakers thought he had a chance.

What amazes me is Leonard Garcia arguably beat Max Holloway, and then Cody Mckenzie completely dominated Garcia 4 months later.

Mckenzie is a lot better than people give him credit for.
