I don't think I'm acting that way. If you look through my posts you'll see I'm only really challenging people saying he didn't have the right to be there or who seem to be more upset with Kyle than the actual criminals that were there.

I think it's really ridiculous how many people on here seem to think the correct response to rioting, looting, and destroying property is for the citizens to just cower in fear and let it happen. I found his actions during this specific event to be heroic.


That being said in general he seems like kind of a tool. Multiple things can be true at the same time.

I wouldn't go so far as to say his actions were heroic. He shot well under pressure and after being grounded but the first guy he killed was unarmed. I don't think he wanted to escalate that initial confrontation but a mature adult would realize that's exactly what would happen if you put out a dumpster fire in front of the guy that lit it.

His actions were self defense but his weapon was straw purchased so he's lucky he wasn't convicted of any crime. I think his main problem are the people that championed his cause and are now the ones influencing his future decisions. I would in this scenario. People say he was looking for violence but all the footage and evidence we have is Kyle trying to avoid vioence at every turn. Stuff like why was he there and why was he trying to stop people from damaging property are non starters for me. Citizens have every right to stand up to rioters and try to protect people and property. Now he shouldn't have had to be there at all. He attempted to go to college but was not allowed on campus. That seems like someone trying to get to some semblance of normalcy, but some wouldn’t let me exist.
