We didn't elect our radicals to run the party the way the GOP has though. In both 2016 and 2020 we elected the moderate candidate instead of the populist challenger. And yet it didn't matter, people still freak out about Biden like he's a socialist. That's partly what frustrates me about the "b-both sides!" takes in regards to Biden and Trump.
