Whyte will get knocked silly. He isn't exactly a technician either and Whyte doesn't have that 1 shot power. Could you honestly see Wilder letting someone like Dave Allen make it 10 rounds with him?
Neither would I. The guy's levels were 14x higher than the Tour de france champ Contador that was banned for the same thing(And he even used the same excuse). If anyone thinks that was from eating bad meat, I got a nice beach front property in Antarctica to sell them.
Strip him pls, then him and the UFC are free to pull off as many con jobs in boxing as they want.
Wouldn't be surprised if 2 of these matches generate what 4 or 5 Mcgregor MMA matches did for the boys at the top. Have at it, just let the guys that are dedicated to the UFC get their opportunity...
You have to actually reach his chin to have a puncher's chance which isn't easy at all and I'm not sure Conor has the power to knock him out even if he did. All the shots that badly hurt Khan, he got caught bang on the chin by pretty decent sized to great punchers.
Pretty sure he has been working out, at the least. He's got some videos on his instagram of him sparring and working out in 2016. Floyd's super OCD about fitness and won't ever allow himself to completely slack off.
The plan was to make Conor waste energy period which he did.
-Did not hit Floyd with anything significant(Uppercut was a nice scoring punch, but didn't hurt Mayweather or unnerve Mayweather from his gameplan)
-Floyd was clearly focused on the body attack in the first 3 or 4 rounds(Focused body...
Moving forward was to pressure Conor into throwing punches against Mayweather's guard, missing punches and wasting energy when he didn't have to. Simultaneously he was working Conor's body to tire him out more. He fell for a rookie trap.
Of course Floyd was serious the whole time with his...
Yeah I rewatched it and in hindsight, that's nothing to really brag about. Most of those punches were slaps. He lost the meaningful sting on his punches pretty early in the match.
Not harder, you can't really quantify difficulty. It's just different. There's less moments to disengage from the match in boxing because of the ring dimensions.
There's clinch, but it's not like MMA where you can work something to your advantage. Conor said he realized he was just burning...
There was no standing 8 rule for this match, and I can't think of too many 12 rounders that use the standing-8. He started his swim lessons in the Pacific ocean.
I can't believe he was shocked post fight that Floyd went to him. They didn't do their research if they didn't believe Mayweather was that cerebral.
Also I definitely question the quality of his sparring partners in hindsight. It seems like he prepared to go at his own pace. There were reports...
