French MMA has a pretty unique style that I’m starting to become a fan of the way these guys move and fight. Fiorot and Gane are clearly high level strikers who specialize with footwork but even lower level guys like Morgan Cherriere are a ton of fun despite being a touch more flash instead of...
Well Mirko was one of those Overeem type guys who was a HW because he was juiced and very effectively juiced.
If they fought prime for prime at HW it’s hard not to think Mirko’s cardio would be an advantage along with his strength but I think PEDs have a lot to do with that.
We’ve also never...
I’d take Pereira as the better pure striker P4P but it’s hard to compare their careers.
Beating Izzy is probably the biggest win of either guys career and Pereira was also a dominate champ in KB which Mirko was not. If Pereira beats Ankalaev or any other grappling based fighter I think it’ll be...
Pereira definitely deserves a step up and ranked opponent instead of a short notice fight.
Considering Shara only beat Bruno Silva a fight with Ihor was probably more of a side step instead of a step up I’m not against him being matched against somebody else who’s a bit unproven like Brunno...
The striking at range should be fun and Holland doesn’t tend to push a pace that would make Michal gas or fold so while Michal has his flaws of cardio he should be able to fight within his comfort zone since Holland prefers to snipe long shots. This reminds me of Chidi vs Michal where both men...
Loma looked a touch tired at time and I'm assuming it's one of the reasons he starts so slow against elite boxers but he also just showed the world if he starts strong the sheer offensive output he touches people with it will BREAK these guys down.
Hoping moving forward we see Loma attempt to...
Nobody ever talks about it but the way Loma will throw himself into an angle off of the clinch is a thing of beauty. Loma's got some of the slickest clinch skills in the game.
Loma wading into the pocket, blocking shots and returning fire.
Kambosos looks like he's running out of ideas and his wild hook barrages are getting shut down by Loma's clinches..
End feels near?
Not arguing with him soundly losing, Loma looks great.
Just defending that Kambosos doesn't look bad, he actually looks pretty slick at times but Loma is such a master at this sport.
Kambosos doing an okay job of adjusting to the looks Loma is giving him but Loma keeps attacking with new angles and timings every time Kambosos seems to find a decently safe strategy.
Loma touching hard shots now.
Looks like he's still figuring out the range against Kambosos who's waiting to unload but with how far he's getting into these angles I think he might be close to a knock down.
Loma looks like he couldn't get past Kambosos' shell like he was earlier but seemed more focused on figuring out how to get past it with footwork, Kambosos could've won the round, landed some hard shots there.
Kambosos did a beautiful job of tracking Loma's lateral movement and stopped the angles but he really struggled with Loma's in and out attacks.
Kambosos showing signs of being in this technically still.
Kambosos seems heavily reliant on his 1 and 4. He landed clean early but it seems like Loma has the range and timing down quickly so if he doesn't switch it up Loma might start negating the range pretty easily.
Loma looking aggressive early
Making reads for the 1st half of the fight to battle with intense angles for the 2nd half of the fight seems to win the morale victory every time for Loma.
I'm extremely excited for this fight.
Loma for obvious reasons is always a treat to watch the way his footwork allows him to dance into offensive angles and rip combinations of skilled boxers like they're beginners but it'll be real interesting to see how Loma gets past the very fundamentally...
Right guy won IMO
Moloney started strong early with quick left hooks, speedy blitzes and a smart gameplan but Guevara adjusted with long combinations, more power and heavy body shots controlling the 2nd half of the fight.
