Elf is a classic. Seen it many times, and I rarely re-watch movies. Never seen Xmas Story, but it doesn’t look good. No one in my family likes it. Must be an American thing. Only in America does a Xmas movie include guns. I’ll pass.
Indeed, I remember. It was the Bay, then a Zellers, I think.
Best part of Mall in the 70’s- early 80’s was the Malt Stop. Right across from Purdy’s. On the rare time I have a frosty from Wendy’s , it always makes me remember how it’s a pale imitation of the Malt Stop from my childhood.
You can still get it. It’s not visible on the menu, but they still make it. I mean the one with cheese and pepperoni. I had it about year ago and it was so good. But the last time I ordered it they told me it was $10 or something, so I canceled the order.

They used to have it, briefly, in my little corner of Canada. But they made a mistake. They tied most of their locations to a chain of video stores. As video stores were starting to die, this chain didn’t mind giving up some space in their stores. It seemed like a good idea, pick up a movie and...
I never used to do anything, but as I have gotten older, they have gotten a little off. Certain hairs grow really long. So when I get a haircut, I have them trim them. On rare occasion, I might trim myself, if something looks obvious.
