You're going strictly by BJJ terms. I'll concede that in BJJ, that is what the definition is. However, I will still consider it a sweep due to looking at the guard as a dominant position for the man on top.
It's like wrestling arguing that BJJ referring to the referee's position as "the turtle...
Inside the guard is not a neutral position, in my opinion. Different ways of looking at grappling will end in different definitions.
You can stick to it not being a sweep, I'll stick to it being one. Will I risk BJJ players thinking I'm an idiot? Sure. Do I care? No.
Lol.
It makes sense to call it a sweep, so I'll continue to do so. A sweep is defined as a reversal of position. Which is exactly what turning someone over from mount would be.
I've had a few BJJ classes. In fact, my first class I was taught what the instructor called a "mount sweep".

It makes sense to call it a sweep.
Aoki has also submitted black belts.
In gi-bjj? Maia is better.
In MMA? It isn't even close. Maia isn't half the fighter Aoki is. It's ridiculous that Maia was ever ranked top 10. (Let alone to still be top 10!)
