From my experiences with the powerlock, MX and C3, I'd say go MX. I liked my powerlocks in the beginning but they fell apart (wouldn't mind getting another pair just for sparring honestly if i had more money) this is not the case with the MX's. I've had them for a while now and no problems...

I agree with strat here the quality of the reyes I had and sold were always on point. But the MX from what I could see in my own pair are made in a different factory than the protex or powerlocks as in it seems to be a bit better. But no even though I love my MX the quality is not as good as reyes.

Disliked the reyes thumbs, got these for the yearly 50% off gloves. they are 12 oz and very nice. The velcro looks dumb though

the power locks were more protective until the padding broke down. I could throw power shots with my 14oz ones. But I'm pissed about the padding! If it were better I'd endorse it velly much

I got 12oz also and use it a lot on teh heavy bag, I use 180" wraps as well. I hardly ever throw full power shots and make sure I land on my knuckles and elbow behind my knuckles. It kinds of helps that the padding is thin to land correctly but be careful don't throw too many power shots.
