    Jumping guard should be illegal!!!

Yeah I know it sucks, I've seen people get hurt from it and I've hyper extended my knee twice because guys jumped low instead of at my hips. Heres a video, sorry, I don't have the beginning.

This is one we do. You really gotta circle your hand inside the leg. At times its really hard to do so timing is key.

BJJ training and a Herniated disc

I actually had the same thing as you, but I don't think my disc was sticking out as much as yours. I was honestly in so much pain I almost quit. Doctor told me it would go away in a few weeks to a few months. But thinking about it, I had this problem over 3 years and just kept getting worse and...

Jiu Jitsu in Barcelona and Madrid Spain

Hey Guys, I'll be doing a pretty big Euro trip soon and wouldn't mind doing some gi training while there. Can anyone recommend a club in Barcelona and Madrid Spain to train at? Maybe even a little review about the place. I'll also be going to Budapest, Krakow and Warsaw, so if anyone by...

    to compete or not?

For some its common to compete and not have a coach around - when you travel and such especially. Compete, don't worry too much about needing someone to tell you what to do. Just go and have fun :)

Leg Drag from Spider Guard to back/side - Instructional [video]

Yeah Dans a purple now, maybe in the Pura videos he was a blue. We are very good friends with the Pura school, Dan went there to do a mini seminar about the spider guard if I'm not mistaken. I think he was talking about video BJJ Technique - Rubens "Cobrinha" Charles in Hamilton at...

Leg Drag from Spider Guard to back/side - Instructional [video]

I do something very similar, but I have a nice hip bump sweep if people stand up straight like that against me. Funny thing is we had Romulo come in a little while ago. Super cool guy. If you give the guy the grips and the position, he can get the SG. PS, Romulo and Dan had a wicked match :)

Leg Drag from Spider Guard to back/side - Instructional [video]

Yeah at our place we play a lot of spider guard, and if you do it right, its really hard to break out of. I'm actually learning so much more all the time, can't believe how complicated the position can get. For example, you have to hold the persons sleeve a bit away from your leg so its harder...

Leg Drag from Spider Guard to back/side - Instructional [video]

Very nice. Lots of time gets put into that. I'm wondering if people tend to like short videos over the long ones? Personally I know I've saved a lot of long ones but never have the time to watch the entire thing.
