Spreading nude images of an underage girl is both.

Well, looking at it that way, she WAS wrong, bc she is the one who took the pics and created the "child porn" and put it out there at all. She is just as accountable for the situation as the kid who passed them around.

I'm not sure if you can be charged with the production of child pornography simply by taking a picture of yourself. Also not sure if you can be charged with distribution simply by sending it to one person with the intent of only that person viewing it.

Now, a lawyer could correct me if I'm wrong. But even if it were illegal, there is a large gap between "girls takes nudes and is misguided in sending them to a boy she is dating" and "boy sends nude pictures of underage ex girlfriend to his friends".

One of those things might be "stupid", but the other is "malicious". Only one of those people is a victim.

I never implied that you didn't think the dude did anything wrong. I guess that misconception could be attributed to your impending prison sentence.
