I mean, the Akhmat team includes guys like UFC fighter Abdul-Kerimov Edilov who got executed (reportedly for selling drugs). As well as several others who are reported thugging for the local warlord. I think Aleks is more there to bask under their patronage. There was that story of him crashing his golden mercedes a while back.

He started training at Akhmat sometime after he got out of prison and made his debut in WFCA (now ACA) in Chechnya. he looked good for a while as well and for a roughly year long stretch from mid 2017 to mid to late 2018 he looked like one of the best heavyweight fighters in the world and likely could have went on a run in the UFC (until he met a strong grappler anyways like Blaydes although he could have knocked blades out so who knows). Ramzan Kadyrov was giving Aleks E the treatment he's been given Chimaev more recently; that is, gifts, funding, clout and the backing and support of a wealthy and powerful warlord.

The last fight he actually looked formidable in was against Tony Johnson although he had a tough time in that fight...he then looked kind of shot against Magomed Ismailov and took a viscious beating with some flash ko's even. he never looked the same after these two fights, and went downhill after that with alcohol addiction and probably other drugs.

Islam is what this man needs. say what you want about that religion but it is good for the mind and body.

You have to actually accept that YOU are the one causing your sin and repent in Orthodox Christianity, Islam is the opposite, all sin is earthly and the only way to not sin is to be a strict Muslim. Nature over nurture of the theological world.
Prison studies have shown an accute lower IQ in Islamic converts than Christian converts in the penitentiary system because it's an easier religion to deal with for those either in the throes of addiction or a lower IQ. Allah is responsible for everything, everything is up to him, all you gotta do is follow the rules.
Meanwhile in Christianity, there is a deeper introspective look required, which in and of itself requires a higher IQ. This is similar to the explanations of low IQ inmates being incapable of understanding conditional hypotheticals.

I hope Alex cleans up, but this all seems like more of a push from his Chechen associates for more clout and more of a humiliation for Fedor who the dog Kadyrov hasn't forgiven.

Fedor has plenty of lowlights as well. He did very well at a more primitive form of MMA in a roped square. But he when it came to fighting in a caged octagon, his skill set didn't translate and he was average at best.
