I think they're both cousins. They refer to each other as brothers though because they grew up in the same house together.
 
Looks like there's quite a few Nurmagamedov's in MMA right now, all fairly young with good records. Look like Abubaker has a good record with a win over John Howard which usually isn't easy for anyone. Tends to not lose unless the fighter is pretty legit.

Bred and raised. Dagestan is truly on another level; they have a population of like 2 million and have like 16 UFC fighters. When you are brought up with beheadings being the norm, with a cocktail of extremist and militaristic Islam mixed into that, you learn to fight or die. They aren't "genetically superior" or anything like that, they just grew up seeing things like 'The Dagestan Massacre' on the reg and learned to evolve. #DifferentLevelShit

He only lost once, in a freak doctor stoppage, like Fedor vs TK.
