part of the issue, is that colleges don't want to be labeled as solely having one type of race or culture. that's why i think many asian folks are left out, because of that desire for variety. and if you think about it, there is some merit to it. having folks from different areas of the world, with different perspectives, makes for a more interesting environment. that is a large part in what college is supposed to be: a microcosm of the world and how people from all walks of life live among each other.
Asians are like 5.5% of the population, are they really responsible for changing the demographics of schools that much?
Are the claims Asians are over populating colleges or just over respresented compared to how many Asians are in the USA?
