Atkins Diet

From memory, while doing Atkins you should increase your intake of mono and poly unsaturated fats, as when your carb stores deplete after the first few days, your body switches to burning fat as an energy source.

Really? Even polyunsaturated?

you need a good amount of carbs a day if you are an active person. You need it to produce glycogen for your energy needs. Also, any diet that says bacon/sausages and the crap are healthy foods and say fruits and veggies arent much better is a joke diet

Lifting weights does more for weight loss then running in most cases.

no. depending on the duration of running, weight training generally does not dish out enough of a caloric expenditure to warrant much weight loss compared to running. Also with running high intensity, you use atp as a the energy source but the caloric expenditure is very high. Nt to mention high intensity cardio work ups your ****bolism on top of that. RUnning low intensity burns less calories but free fatty acids are a primary fuel source after a short time (~20-25 minutes)

Tell that to the thirteen pounds I've lost and kept off. You don't have to eat straight sausage and bacon and the diet doesn't encourage it all the time. For a healthier choice people can eat turkey bacon and turkey sausage.
