Multiplatform BATTLEFIELD 2042

I tried it again using the EA trial and I realize what it is I don’t like. The engagements in this game are to far away for me. As in it's not fun to shoot people from that far away. In BF4 I remember there being way more engagements up close. Sure sometimes they were far away but way more instances of up close battle especially on the right map. The maps in this game just aren't fun and ruin most of the engagements when people are shooting from so far away. Not even snipers either just people with regular ARs.

I've been seeing this game getting trashed a lot the past few days. How bad is it? EA getting a lot of hate over this.

It dserves the hate i played the beta and bought gold the early access felt like a beta. The glitches i found so far which happen to to me every so often.

I will be stuck in crouch and cant go back to regular stance, then if i die i get stuck in the revive state only solution is to back out of the game.
I will also sometime load into a game with no loadouts, you also need to back out of the game to resolve it.

Hit reg is wonky, maps are so big you sometimes just end up walking so far only to get shot by a sniper when you reach the objective. Vehicles like the hovercraft and littlebird are op, but i believe they will patch those. You dont earn gun unlocks and there is a level cap in portal. I havent tried hazard zone but i heard it sucks also.

If you like a grindy game go ahead, but what i hate about this is they only have conquest and breakthrough for the main modes there is no rush tdm etc. You cant see your score so you just feel like a pawn/grunt in a game with no meaning. Its not like warzone where you strive to be the best team, or rush where your teams objective is to defend or blow up mcomms.

The graphics even on ps5 seem basic and once you see a tornado 3 times the amazement disappears.

I know this game is from a milsim but bots engage you from way too far away. I'm 200 meters out they spot me and start firing with insane accuracy.

This is what I was talking about. Most of my engagements were like this. People shooting me from so far and not even with sniper rifles. Not sure if they were bots or not.

The level of competition seems to have suddenly spiked. Getting wrecked consistently now. Curious.

also just smh at a lot of the ui and gameplay decisions. Adds a lot of frustration.

I've been enjoying this a lot. Classic battlefield. The specialist stuff is a nonsense but whatever. Really gives the feeling of being a pawn in a much larger battle.

If anyone is not liking the controls on console this made a WORLD of difference for me and I tried a few different ones.

I'll plus one this, thanks. Makes the game playable!

It's the most complained about and one of the most played game on Steam!

whoever designed the meny's needs to eat some uppercuts

I bought this game and i am disappointed. I cant really point to one thing but I’m not having fun playing it. I dont have the urge to play it. When i do play it, i am forcing myself to play it because I can’t get my money back.

What's everyone's loadout?

I'm still figuring it out but I like dozer and the shield a lot, my second ATM is Angel with the insertion beacon. Thought I was all about that lmg until I unlocked the second marksman rifle, it's the sniper rifle I have always liked, a bit less power but little recoil and semi auto. Two shot kill.

Have you changed all the settings as per the video above? It's night and day for the feel of it.

Big update tomorrow and an even bigger one later in the week. It is ridiculous how broken this game was upon launch but at least it seems EA is listening and making the appropriate changes.

I Ike the engineer with the turret. It doesn't seem to get many kills but it gets lots of assists for some reason. Just started messing around with the drone too. Easy way to get XP.

As far as guns I like the second dmr too as well as the pp29 that everyone uses. Hopefully this new update will make the assault rifles usable.

MY buddy's using the turret dude so I'm staying off that, I played as Angel all last night and really enjoyed being able to res people, insertion beacon at capture point nearest enemy base contributed to team wins every game. It's my standard bf tactic and I'm glad it works still. People ain't killing the equipment like they used to.

I might try the drone with a sniper, the only issue I've always had is the mad lens flair on long range shots. It's like the sun at the moment. I like to snipe mid range with an ACOG sight. Really need a auto secondary, the pistols are so shit so far.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to the weapons getting balanced. Pp is op.

I just want to be able to use the assault rifles. I'm not really into sniping in games like this. Maybe nerf the vehicle armor and guns too. They're too op imo. I'd say 85% of my deaths are from vehicles and it takes multiple rockets to kill even an open cockpit hovercraft.
