the only real blemish on his record was the fluke gulliotine sub from ortiz in 2011.... his other 4 loses were to top tier fighters who there is no shame in losing to.... plus his striking has definitely evolved since them when he was just a hulk smash type of fighter

Is that list supposed to be impressive? At the time he fought them only 1 or 2 were ranked top 10, and the Weidman win was controversial and unimpressive.

Gegard gets crazy love on this site, and it’s understandable - he’s humble, respectful and exciting. That said I think he’s one of the if not the most overrated fighter in mma.
