Paul Newman in The Color of Money and Tom Cruise in Top Gun: Maverick will probably get a lot of mentions and deservedly so.

Jack Nicholson and Shirley MacLaine were pretty good in The Evening Star (Terms of Endearment 2) but nobody has seen or remembers that movie at this point.
