Boxers whose careers crashed hard

Not sure if he's been mentioned yet but Leonard Dorin was a decent fighter until Gatti destroyed him.

Margarito's career crashed hard after the glove incident. He had just come off a huge victory over an undefeated Cotto, then he got caught cheating, got destroyed by Mosley, never won a meaningful fight again, and suffered some terrible eye injuries in the process.

That's an exaggeration the only fight he didn't seem like the same old Margarito was the Shane fight. Margarito is/was custom made for a guy like pac and as stubborn as Antonio and his camp are they didn't stop that fight.

His last fight with Cotto was stopped right when we were getting to the Margarito rounds and he was starting to slow Miguel down. Sure the eye was swollen but otherwise it was classic forward pressure slow starting Margarito performance.

Antonio was never a guy who was unbeatable as well.

Hopefully Cheaterito is gone for good but he didn't walk away from the ring a different man after one of his losses or a scandal. Now if we're talking about public opinion I'd agree Naazim buried him.

I thought it was easier to call him margacheato if you're going there...

The thread is boxers who's career crashed hard. The fact is, Margarito was on top of the world after beating an undefeated Cotto in brutal fashion. His career was in an amazing spot.

He then got caught cheating, thus tainting his career. Got his ass whooped in 3 out of 4 fights, and retired with a horrific eye injury.

You don't consider that crashing hard?

Of course he did. Too many uninformed opinions around here lately are blurring the lines.
