Boxing is so boring compared to MMA

Boxing video games are way more fun than mma video games.

Imagine if the ref. didn't stop this... lol 2 more minutes for Connie to end up face down ass up would have been a horrible look. Conor should send that ref. flowers and money every anniversary of this fight for saving his life.

I mean at least Wilder blessed us with a highlight reel KO compared to the garbage snoozefest that was Jan vs Jacare

And boxing fans are the problem too on this point. When they had to wait for Masvidal Vs Nate to end, in boxingscene they were all enraged because they were just 2 fighters with more than 10 losses each. "bums" according to them. But Masvidal has had 3 wins against three top contenders in his last 3 fights, that's the same amount of top 10 ranked guys that Wilder has beaten in his 41 wins.

And look we cannot even name that undefeated boxer that Fury faced with a 20-0, and I'm sure those boxing fans that got mad at Nate/Masvidal can't either because they have forgotten him already too. Boxing has many problems, being so boring is not the only one.
You went to another forum to seek fuel for your hatred of another sport lmfao

I like porn. Two men touching each other is just ghey.

Only one entertaining boxer too watch is Fury.. Idgaf what the 50+ year olds gotta say about that, or these so called boxing/mma experts may disagree with my statement. Deontay is only good when he lands his right hand. He just takes his sweet time like a 70 year old grannie like last night to do it.

Wilder asked for a guy he'd already beaten; beats him again; now the boxing world is excited. You have to be easily entertained to enjoy most boxing today.

Kinda like Jones DC and the MMA world, right? In fact a third fight is being requested, talk about “easily entertained”.
Didn’t see any undignified crying after the boxing matches though.

I've listened to you fucking morons saying that for 15 years or more.

I guess boxing is like Hyman Roth - dying from the same heart attack for 20 years. smh

Meanwhile, in two weeks time Anthony Joshua will make anywhere from 50-80 million British pounds for one boxing match.

Take the last 20 UFCs, take the entire purses of every fighter on those 20 cards and combine them... it still wouldn't equal what Joshua is making.

For a dying sport, boxing sure does pay well.

Spot on, man.

Im sorry. Were we suppose to wait for Joe and Dana to tell us who we should be excited for?

Only one of those fights took place in the UFC and there's a ten year difference between the two; that's not exactly a strong case that MMA is as boring as boxing.

Wladimir Klitschko alone has had more boring fights than I can recall ever seeing in the UFC.
Which fight wasn't in the UFC?

if you want to see chinless grapplers or meathead bralwers KO'd by guys who couldn't even be journeyman boxers, then MMA has a lot to offer. If all you want to see is wild violence, MMA probably has a bit more of that.

If you want to see skill and high level competition, boxing has a lot to offer. To say boxing is boring is fine, everyone has opinions on the things they enjoy. Just know that there are people on this board right now who actually like to see Valentina Shevchenko fight, so some people like shit that others find incredibly boring.

In Figueroa and Santa Cruz fights, they kept landing over and over on their opponents and couldn't hurt them at all. They probably landed close to 1.000 punches in those fights. Their opponents weren't even bruised, hurt or anything, so boring. Yawn.

Then Wilder comes and he spent literally 20 minutes without throwing punches, just jabs here and there and an occasional left hook. Ortiz won the rounds just by landing 3 or 4 punches per round but doing almost nothing either. Then Wilder lands one punch, and the fight ends. So boring. Should have watched the ko on youtube and skip that fiasco. Boxing sucks.

Wow. Is this 2005 again? Did we really need yet another outdated boxing vs MMA thread?
I mean, seriously, what's the point? I thought the vast majority of us were passed that childish nonsense. There's plenty of room for both sports & both are thriving at the moment so quit with the "boxing is dead" bullshit. They've been saying that on & off since the 1960s for Pete's sake.
I've been a rabid boxing fan since I discovered boxing as a kid in 1976 & I've been a die-hard MMA fan since UFC 1 in November of '93. I watch every major boxing card telecast as well as every UFC & Bellator event. The only reason that I consider myself a bit more of a boxing fan than an MMA fan is because boxing was my first love & I used to make my living at it as a pro fighter. Other than that they're pretty equal in my heart.

Imagine having the patience of watching 12 rounds of one dimensional striking and constant clinch stalling.

The fundamental truth of the matter is that MMA fighters are simply better than boxers.

A world class MMA fighter would murder a world class boxer in a fight even in the boxer outweighed him by 40+ pounds. Tyron Woodley walks around at 205 pounds. He would murder Ruiz, Joshua, Fury, Wilder, Ortiz, or any other heavyweight boxer in a fight within 20-30 seconds in any way he wants and they wouldn't be capable of stopping him.

This makes boxing fans very insecure so they call mma "gay" or say that martial artists have "bad boxing", when in reality the reason MMA fighters stand and move and box the way they do is because that's how you box in the context of a real fight. The stances and movement of pure boxing doesn't fully translate to a MMA fight. You hvae to make some adjustments and changes. MMA fighters aren't sloppy, that's what actual striking looks like in a real fight.

This also makes boxers angry. MMA fighters are actually better boxers than boxers are, because their boxing is trained and refined in the context of a real fight.

A world class soccer player like Ronaldo would get murdered by a top level MMA fighter in a street fight too, is it supposed to make him unsecure about his sport ?
What a shit post lol
Moreover, it is not that sure that MMA fighters would win (let alone Killing in 20 seconds) top level boxers, considering the state of the HW division right now, and given the fact that football and rugby players who started out at 30 are in the top 15 and that Derrick Lewis got a title shot.
You fucktard.

Boxing is dying
It isn't dying.
Beautiful for advertisement market too.
Long sppech before bout, multiple rounds.
Then next bout from card. Of course all the same again.
Before this relax phase.
All again.
Then again cycle repeats.

It is beautiful for ads market + no cage allows easier to see stuff that happens.

The less variables, the higher the level of skill is required, thus creating higher levels of competition, some people want to watch a chess match sometimes, what's wrong with that?
