Cardio is the lowkey biggest strength a fighter can have

Sure it's not as alluring for the fans as size, strength, punching power, question mark kicks so it's often overlooked, but if you look at all of the greats they've had cardio for days.

Cardio has won more fights than any other attribute.

a smart fighter who uses endurance as a weapon is lowkey now. a fighter who hits and kicks 2 rounds like a goof in a 5 round match is einstein now.

Fighting is not that simple, you can't just pick one ability as the best asset. It's combination of all things. Fighters with the best combination of abilities become champ in their weight class.

Imagine having endless cardio but you have no strength to wrestle at all, you'd get ragdolled every single fight.

Cardio is important. It allows you to do all that throughout the fight. Power punches mean nothing if you don't have the cardio to keep throwing it throughout the whole fight. 1 round of punching power is what happens when there is no cardio/conditioning to back it up. Same can be said for the question mark kicks etc. You can do more of those moves and have enough power to KO/TKO in the later rounds if you have the cardio/conditioning to back it up.

Exactly It's a mixture of everything. If you don't have speed or power then how will cardio help you.

But I agree to some extent good cardio is one of the most important things a fighter should have.

You just described Nate Diaz

If that were true, Colby would be the WW champion.
Well it's why usman became champ, he just does it better than colby. his run to the belt was mostly won through out working and out wresting his opponents. He become a finisher after becoming champ

This is true, only if they can weaponize it. We've seen plenty of instances of fighters gassing down the stretch, but holding on for the win.

All pro fighters in the UFC have some measure of speed, power and technique,

all of those weapons become muted once the tank starts to drain while the guys with cardio better maintain the speed and power they have and start to dominate (see the Conor/Diaz fights, prime Tony Ferguson and many others).

Tito Ortiz loss to Frank Shamrock & he worked on his cardio extensively post bout, in turn he ended up being one of the better fighters with great cardio. On TUF he made it very clear that cardio was king, Bisping was the only one who actually took it in.

100% agree.

Of course, cardio alone won't win you fights. You need everything else to be at a certain level, but you're next to useless if you have no cardio, no matter how skilled you are.

it's not lowkey, every pro fighter knows this as fact
It's why wrestling is so powerful, because done right you can not only control your opponent, but you can drain them

It's important, power changes a fight too.

It's only lowkey because everybody knows it and it's not disputable at all.

I don't know how you would even compare cardio and questionmark kicks. Totally different category.
That's like comparing a skyscraper to a doormat.
