Has anyone else in the sport ever had that kind of consistent opposition before?
Fedor
Rampage
wanderlei
Anderson
Tito
Bones
Rashad
Bisping
Shogun

Stann was the wec champ but obviously not legendary like these other guys. granted other than bones all.of.these guys are way out of prime but he's out of his prime too. Guy has balls.

didn't he get dropped by a 42 year old Fedor like five times, including once in the first few seconds?

4 of those legends were well past dare when they fought. Chael is a b fighter with mediocre talent and a lot of heart. His only greatness has been being. A tough matchup for a prime Anderson Silva.

Amazing that he didn't lose a round against any of them.

Chael is a Champ not a former champ

Not so fast on Titi and Bisping as either “legends” or “champions”

He is also 41 years old

age very often does not represent skills...you've got guys like bernard hopkins who was a world champion at 49..both the klitchko brothers were champions in their 40's....chael relies in his wrestling, which is the last thing to go...while fedor relies mostly on explosiveness...that's always been his main weapon..even in grappling...which is probably why fedor seems to avoid grappling at all costs now...why didn't fedor go in after chael after he knocked him down? yet years ago, he'd be on chael in a split second..

and chael wasn't past his prime when he fought them? Its like your logic only works one way to further your hate of a very accomplished fighter. I would say i would expect better of you but lets face it... no one expects much from you.

Steroids allow you to do amazing things

Dan Henderson's final 21 fights.
TRTtor x2
Wanderlei
Rampage
Anderson
Palhares
Franklin
Bisping
Shields
Babalu
Feijao
Fedor
Shogun x2
Rashad
Lyoto
Cormier
Gegard
Boetsch
Lombard
Bisping

Absolutely ridiculous strength of schedule. Most of these fights he was over 40 years old too. One of the toughest SOB's to ever put on a pair of 4 oz. gloves

TRTVitor but not TRTDan?

Faded legends and former champs*

Still a bad mother fucker.

Well, Chael himself is 41, so it’s ok.

These are great fights and it’s an honor to watch them, but they’re not necessarily relevant in terms of top 5 rankings.
The true legends have big fanbases which allow these fights to make sense.

The winner of Fedor/Bader deserves a HW ranking at the bottom of the international Top 10.

His heart is questionable. He was about a minute away from winning the first Silva fight. Jones' fight had a good chance of getting stopped by a doctor in also like a minute due to Jones' broken toe when Sonnen quit.

Tito is a UFC hall of famer with the second most light heavyweight title defenses and Bisping is a former champion and coholder of the overall wins record.

And yes, Bisping is about as surefire a hall of fame lock as there is.
