While leaders in west cry about refugees, ´tolerance´, being ´pro islam´ and not íslamphobic´´ trans, gays, and bending over and hysteria over Russia.

China is leading this.... Say what you want but all these countries like all countries outside the west are intolerant, nationalist, etc and common ground can be made between them to keep their own sphere of influence and be economic depentente on China. China will never own or take over the former soviet sphere or iran, or india. But that does not mean that china cannot become a huge economic influence to those countries. In south east asia, china has higher chance of making vietnam, Myanmar, Philippines its bitch. Duterte is selling out Philippines to China for protection (and joked about Philippines becoming a province of china) and other things to take Philippines away from US influence for good. Myanmar is being protected internationally from upset Muslim world over there state sanctioned actions against Islam. And by the way China is brainwashing muslims and jailing them to counter any potential islamic insurgency that might destablize it most western province of Xinjiang and there is nothing the arab world can do to China, china is not Israel and all weak and small. Mynanmar now becoming chinese client state. Vietnam, laos, cambodia all still have there communist roots and vietnam is officially still communist.......

Singapore is filled with chinese money as is many other south east asian countries and very large Chinese oversea community. Thailand to will sell itself to china. Laos and cambodia will one day soon feel the pull of communist brother hood. South korea does not want to fight north korea and will eventually concede. Russia has no choice but to be nice to China to starve off US led and EU sanctions and to also expand the eurasian union to include iran, former soviet sphere and maybe eventually turkey or mongolia. Russia also need china to counter US/NATO expansionist bullshit and Russia stands to benefit as it likely that China knows it cannot really control or own the former soviet sphere the way Russia can given Russia history with those countries in russian empire and the russian diaspora in kazakhstan, ukraine, belarus, etc and the natural pull armenia and some stan countries have to Russia. While china may one day include itself into some east asian wannabe EU thing.

Chinese working on super computing quantum stuff, gene engineering, human cloning. They will one day soon breed super gene engineered people and not care about being called ´like hitler´´. They will out compete the west.

How is this not topic? @Arkain2K or @ShinkanPo, what i saying i believe is true. The G7 to me presented a weak and split image with Italia and US both wanting Russia back and then canada crying and Trump leaving early. Though obvious US is the real dominant power that matters most in G7 my guess is Trump will fracture EU spirit and pull right wing EU countries to his side eventually if not already.

Good thread. Asia is definitely the place that is most worthy of analysis right now in terms of material resources and possibility of collective manufacturing output. If the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and the Shanghai Cooperation work as intended, it would create the greatest human development (in terms of for the benefit of the most people) in the modern history of the region (and possibly the world). It's ambitious, but it looks promising.

SCO meeting was carefully choreographed by Xi and Putin to demonstrate unity, not exactly a place for frank exchange of ideas. Its members are also distrustful of each other (India, China, Pakistan etc). You need to look beyond the surface to see what's really going on.

They are the instrument of their own demise. What sucks is everything gets ruined for all of us together.

Nobody does, but it's going to happen. We had a chance to bring us into league with Russia, but that's lost to us now. And it's a shame. Europe won't stand for shit in twenty years as more countries start to slowly implode from a whole slew of factors.

One thing can be sure, china is not going to always be on the wrong end of every trade deal like America somehow is with its "allies".

pakistan is the loose cannon. But outside of that economic dependence and need is real thing. The real proof of china domination is there domination and soon to be $1 trillion trade with ASEAN countries. Not to mention Philippines leader and ruling government being pro china and the president joking about becoming chinese province. ASEAN is 640 million strong, say they lose Indonesia which is 260 million which could happen since it Indonesia which most opposed and is most different from other countries with it islamic population. But even then ASEAN then down to 380 million strong with all other except brunei and malaysia already being chinese client states or soon be puppet states or will be.

i dont want this thread be the stupid usual american liberal vs right wing stupid crap. I think you can blame both there sides be honest the super religious idiots and the idiot far left liberals. My post more really complained about the liberal thing. But there probably some things can be said about right wing trade policies hurting some % of populations and that why some people in population turn to left wing economics.

That not my concern though i think personally the west is out of focus and lost their chance. I actually think now in some ways the sanctions on Russia is blessing in disguse for Russia. Because now they know to never rely on only EU since it will for time being always be influenced by UK and USA who are the ones with biggest hard on for confront Russia. At least with the SCO and china it seems china wants them to expand the eurasian union to act as way to lock up and control the former soviet sphere, central asia, maybe Iran and transcontiental countries while china in the far east anchor and eventually absorbs south east asia. And then india acts as the anchor of south asia.

China doesn't want to control the world, they care only about China. Good for them. Their economy is doing well I think, Just wish they would care more about pollution and human rights

China's economy is first-and-foremost based on overbuilding, subsidization, product dumping, intellectual property theft and lack of reciprocity. They're following a growth model similar to the one Japan was riding exceptionally high on throughout the 1980s which didn't turn out so well, but they're also far from stupid and looking to implement the necessary reforms and slow down the growth, which is going to be a little painful and why Xi is now Emperor-level powerful.

They have made mindblowing strides at all levels of science and technology (fundamental, applied, development) but they can't legitimately become a true tech superpower without raising their own domestic semiconductor industry - possibly the most complex devices ever developed - and as it is now they have less than 5% of the global market share. It's particularly difficult for them because America keeps its R&D and the majority of its fabrication manufacturing based in the US, and doubly so with Trump constantly blocking their attempted acquisitions of American tech firms.

They want to control the Pacific trade routes, and when they do, they will essentially control the world.

Problem is people have no perspective.

They worry about trumps tweets, tone, demeanor, and keeping up with traditional presidential norms of the past few decades.

Obviously the most crucial problem facing our country is that we are losing our hegemony....and worse of all we have ushered it in ourselves for short term gains. Everything about trumps presidency revolves around maintaining that hegemony.

Everyone screams about a trade war. When the alternative to a trade war is China surpassing us in gdp in the very near future. Of course an arms race would follow and god forbid war.

We are at the tail end of our reign and if there was an all out trade war we would win. The same thing may not be true in 5-10 years. Now is the time, while we have a fleeting leverage, to take on China economically.

But it looks like Trump is trying to start a trade war with countries other than China like Canada, Mexico, and Europe with the tariffs.

The Bene Tleilax or Tleilaxu /tleɪˈlæksuː/[1] are an extremely xenophobic and isolationist society in Frank Herbert's science fiction Dune universe. Genetic manipulators who traffic in biological products such as artificial eyes, gholas, and "twisted" Mentats, the Tleilaxu are a major power in the Imperium. The race is ruled by a small council of Tleilaxu Masters, whose genetically-engineered Face Dancer servants have the ability to mimic any human. The Masters themselves possess a bland and diminutive appearance intended to compel other races to underestimate them. In Heretics of Dune (1984) it is revealed that they are a secret totalitarian theocracy ultimately seeking domination of the known universe. Despite their influence, the Bene Tleilax are universally distrusted and inspire disgust because their products, though desirable, push the limits of the moral proscriptions established by the ancient Butlerian Jihad.

I liked his line when he said we are seeking to make trade fair with our enemies and friends alike.

The truth is we are the biggest consumers on the planet and have the most powerful military. Trade deals should be in our favor if we actually used our leverage
