Legitimately. Showed how easy it would be 5-10 years ago, same as Frankie. If both don’t fall from a gust of wind nowadays, it would be unanimous shutdown in both fights. Skill-wise, there is no problem in matching up with Chito. Body wise? Man, that is quite obviously far cry from what it was.

Some absurb bias in here. Cruz never had anything for Vera, nothing to make him retreat at any point. Vera kept walking down an always defensive Cruz and was never in any danger. It was just a matter of time before Vera found his mark. I don't know how you could score any rounds for Cruz, especially after all the knockdowns.

Chito's coach sent a pic of Cruz's head heading out of the pocket in Munhoz fight,

so Chito takes a note of that. In 3rd round Jason Parilo (coach) told Chito to trick Cruz (to do that) and to go for haymaker.

i.e. Chito and his coach just went sniping. I think this is the advantage of power.

It might seem that way......but it only seems that way. Both fighters knew this was a 5 round fight and made their plans accordingly. If it had been a 3 round fight, Vera might have fought differently. Patience is a good tactic for an in shape fighter in his prime when facing a 37 y/o talented fighter with a suspect chin who rarely fights.

That outcome was inevitable, it was obvious after the first, Doms strikes couldn’t do fuck all, he can’t strike his way out of a wet paper bag.

I've been saying this for years, Dom made a career off of fighting 5'4 wrestlers with overhand rights. And even when he fought them, he still hand to outpoint them.

When someone with legit striking came along, and they were actually 5'8, he struggled. There is a reason he moved down to BW. Aldo would've chopped him down 10 years ago, and would batter him today.

You guys are underrating Chito. He was patient and waiting for his mark, while Cruz kept volume. Sure obviously Cruz could've won a decision, but Vera was only looking for a finish. A 3 round fight would've just sped up Chito's pace to look for an opening.
