Clinton campaign deserves a full investigation, says Turley

Anyone that does wrong and breaks the law should be investigated and possibly charged, ALL PEOPLE!!!! who cares what stupid political party symbol they have by their name.
Don't have the resources.

In the real world, you have to pick your battles and not sing some emotional feel good song about getting all the darned accusations processed. After all, look at how the republican party ginned up charges against Steele.

She'll be impeached this time for sure!
Actually, ex federal EEs can be impeached. The purpose would be to strip him or her of federal benefits. So not currently holding office is not a bar to impeachment.

The Clinton cycle works like this: the Clintons are in power; scandal arises; the Clintons stonewall until the end of their terms. Clinton loyalists say that the Clintons are no longer in power, leave them alone and everyone knows that they are skunks; Clintons attempt to regain power; loyalists say past scandals are old and have already been addressed and the Clintons most certainly are not skunks; Clintons have power, new scandals arise. The Clintons stonewall...................

We are nowhere near the end of this. We will have a minimum of 6 more years of this.
The problem with this nonsense is that there are no conclusive investigations for people like you unless they end up in a conviction of Clinton for "all her crimes" whatever the hell that means.

How is whitewater, an impeachment, and a dozen investigations of hillary stonewalling? Please explain.

When the indictments came down against former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and his aide, Rick Gates, the headline of a Washington Post article declared, “With money laundering charges against Paul Manafort, Trump’s ‘fake news’ charge is harder to defend.” It did not matter that Manafort’s indictment was entirely removed from any campaign connection and involved financial dealings well before his association with Trump. The desire for an independent and full investigation of Donald Trump is understandable, given the serious allegations of Russian influence.

Yet, the same logic does not appear to apply outside of Trumpworld. The same politicians and experts have dismissed efforts to investigate allegations of influence peddling, Russian conspiracies and special deals involving Hillary or Bill Clinton. One such controversy involves the sale of a company, Uranium One, that holds 20 percent of our uranium resources. Last week, the Justice Department secured an 11-count indictment in the Uranium One controversy against Mark Lambert, former head of a Maryland-based transportation company.

....

The long-standing allegations of influence peddling involving the Clinton have never been fully investigated, and the call for such an investigation is not prejudging the results. I have long questioned the likelihood that Trump committed a crime associated with Russian collusion during the campaign. Nevertheless, I supported the special counsel investigation and the congressional investigations. In the same vein, I fail to see why the public should not have an equally transparent, independent investigation of the Clinton controversies. The Trump allegations raise concerns over foreign influence in our election while the Clinton allegations raise concerns over foreign influence in our government.

The government may not be able to supply complete answers, but it can supply a complete record. The result is likely to embarrass many in Washington, in both parties, but the public is being played like chumps by those manipulating these investigations for political advantage. Without a full investigation on both sides, we are unlikely to remove the doubts of so many citizens about the conduct of our leaders.

Both sides need investigation? Turley lost what's left of his opportunistic mind.

Since the Mueller investigation is secret, Turley could not possibly comment on it with anything approaching informed opinion based on the facts: Turley doesn't know the facts--they're secret. So he bulllshits because he wants to be a national player in the worst way. Thus he keeps his name in the headlines attached to the limelight of the Trump periphery by defaming the Clinton Foundation bc that's how inveterate careerists cut their teeth with the right wing money machine...he'll be a revered guest on FOX National News for the week bc of this.

Go after Clinton for a 14th investigation. Clinton is a private citizen. Why not just gin up another investigation into 9/11 or the Bush / Cheney war crimes attendant to an illegal invasion of Iraq? Those are much bigger crimes than shoehorning some charity. Yup, Turley is likely pissed that he's not a player in the Mueller investigation and is a mere observer like the rest of us: On the outside looking in at an historical investigation of a corrupt bigoted president. Perceived lost opportunity and Resentment. Turley is a poor excuse for an American.

That article asks for an investigation for the mere fact of investigating to ease the minds of anyone troubled - which it wont. Those people so inclined will claim the investigation was rigged or that the outcome was predetermined.

Hey, but by all means lets spend millions of dollars investigating a deal that's primary purpose was to control the mining rights in Kazakhstan, not the US.

If you were to check how long it took for Hillary to provide answers to FOIA requests for her healthcare task force and missing documents in the whitewater investigation that were later found in the truck of an abandoned car, the FBI files in the personal quarters of the Clinton's, and the entire email scenario where the US GOVERNMENT emails were manipulated onto private control and then erased as soon as there was a congressional inquiry, you might see that they do stonewall.

I think the Whitewater investigation was conclusive, using wikipedia as a simple non-conservative source "The Clintons were never charged with any crime. Fifteen other persons were convicted of more than 40 crimes, including Jim Guy Tucker, who was removed from office." Tucker and Susan McDougal refused to co-operate but were pardoned by Clinton. She served months in jail for contempt of court, a former business partner of the Clintons, for refusing to answer questions. That's stonewalling. The Republicans dragged the investigation out to politically damage the Dems but the crimes were real. Personally, I think that the Repubs never thought that Clinton could get re-elected. The root of the Whitewater situation is International Paper. I live in a former International Paper town. They were given tax breaks by Arkansas to "lure" IP to expand in Arkansas instead of Jay, Maine. Jay, Maine had just had a brutal union strike, and IP would never do anything in Jay, Maine after that if it had any real alternative. Who owned the Whitewater land before the Clinton partnership? Guess.

(I don't think that the Clintons killed Vince Foster.)
