Imagine if Leonardo Dicaprio had faced rape allegations, sexual assault allegations and exposed himself to a woman in public, all in one year, his career would be over.. and he would be dragged down and lambasted across the media and social media.

Because a decent chunk of the fan base of mma is made up by a masculine obsessed / bro douche demographic, mma fighters basically get off scot-free for this type of behaviour.. pretty interesting..

Johnny Depp got pretty much blacklisted from Hollywood because a load of false accusations.

In MMA you can pretty much do whatever you want outside the cage, the more crimes you commit, the higher Dana's gonna push you.

Leo taught me the wall is at 25.

I think the difference it has to do with the fact that cagefighters aren't at all expected to be role models, whereas it would be hard to cast an actor like DiCaprio in a main/good guy role if people knew he was a rapist.

Certainly Hollywood and the MMA scene are on opposite extremes when it comes to cancel culture.

god, i hope this isnt what the next 4 years is going to be like...

It helps that Conor has always been a fighter who's appeal is love/hate, the same with Jon Jones.

If someone like GSP was involved in this kind of stuff it would likely have a much bigger negative effect on them.

That's part of it, but I think it's more so to do with the fact that the Mma fan demographic don't care that much about sexual assault allegations, they will still watch and it won't affect the ufc's brand or bottom line that much..

MMA is still a very low brow sport. The target audience for MMA is not everyone. Disney can’t be associated with someone who is accused of sexual assault; the UFC on the other hand doesn’t have to act in most cases unless charges are made and it looks like the fighter might be guilty.

Yep its true. People expect Jones to run over pregnant women at this point.

Conor McGregor was charged with three counts of felony assault when he attacked the bus in New York City.

Dana then used the footage of it to cut a promo for the Khabib fight.

Welcome to MMA. Is normal.

You realized it now?
Jon Jones was exposed in a video flashing his dick to somebody.
even in boxing, Amir Khan was exposed on a skype video doing the same too.
The only man to disappear off the face of the earth was Randy Couture.

Because Hollywood is left wing progressive BS.
If the UFC goes that route they will do the same, they've fired fighters before and refused to hire certain fighters for out of cage activities. Who's to say new future owners won't be more strict?

I could name atleast 5 people that were cut over allegations.

Its woke capitalism. They cancel people if they think they dont make them that much money. They qont cancel somepne who makes them milions.

It takes a certain person to be a cage fighter. Though what you say may be true don't forget they all knew about Harvey so even though he wasn't charged he was very popular and a big part of that community while doing all that stuff. Also, the rampant pedo/homo stuff that goes on there (I won't name the names but it is common knowledge) is very telling about Hollywood. Bill Cosby was not exactly a secret either. It's when people are charged with crimes like Cosby and Weinstein that everybody starts being outraged and distancing themselves. Cosby was giving 'free' acting lessons for many years to young models and women trying to break into the biz.

Fight fans are NOT a bunch of fucking snowflakes..

Well they are, but NOT about personal BS like that...
