International CUBA - People taking the streets

We have another thread on this. It all depends on what Cuban elites do, that’s how it always is in dictatorships.

What actual normal people feel and want is irrelevant. Will the security forces crackdown? Will the leadership capitulate? Probably not on the latter

I didn't see the other thread on this..
Venezuela had large-scale uprisings that were squashed by the military... But the people came back.
I hope the Cuban forces are as fed up as the people and something good comes out of this.

Any change from the current state will take time and have it’s growing pains. But I think it’s time. The people deserve a govt that will work for them. They have never really had that. You can’t eat octopus three times a day. You’ll have octopus coming out your ears.

Yeah it definitely is the time for the regime to end I hope this is the start of it, although peaceful.
The commie-elite might be feeling the pinch and the Cubans have access to much more information from the close by nations so the game might be coming to an end.
Here’s hoping

It's about time... lol

These shit Governments are a complete failure except for the ruling elite. And it appears the US is on the road to learn this lesson.

Remember though, according to many “experts” in the West real communism has never been tried.
Because real communism is only known by middle and upper class, immature, bubble-bred, elitist always-children that automatically think to be part of the ruling elite and not facing to live with the obvious consequences this type of totalitarian regimes will have on 95% of their people.
Amazing!

Isn't the reason Cuba don't have modern cars is because the US prohibited car manufacturers from selling to Cuba ?

It is absolutely correct though, that communism has *never* been established.
What has been established, is socialism and the planned economy which comes along with it.

When not being sabotaged by countries like the US (and even then in some instances), socialism absolutely does work.

If it didn't work, the US wouldn't have such a big interest in doing everything to shut it down wherever it is on the rise, because the more countries become socialist, the less countries are there for the US and similar countries to exploit and the more people begin to realize that our society doesn't have to look as desastrous as it does under capitalism for so many people.

No!
The US would NEVER do such a thing!
They'd never aid the secret services of other countries in seeking to murder and destroy left political forces.
... or try to to assassinate a socialist head of state numerous times.
... or propose a plan to attack and kill their own people and military under the flag of a socialist country in order to justify a war against that country.

I miss being a freshman in college.

<Dany07>

So why aren't they able to "shut down" the US right back?

Lol, it works so well that it has to be propped up by a capitalist country to keep people from starving?
