Cyborg Calls Out Cindy Dandois. And Ediane Gomes and Pam Sorenson.

Who would you rather see Cyborg fight if it isn't going to be Nunes?

None of the options in the thread are. I think you're missing the point.
tbh I don't care, she is whining too much, but it's smart enough to not be played by pride, like many other fighters...that being said Sorenson, Dandois, Gomes are not fighters I would pay 60$ to watch

If the UFC want to squander 600k on Cyborg at 228 then Vieira might be the best option, sure she's a 135 pounder but then aren't they all?

Trouble is how do you ensure Cris turns up for the Nunes fight? She already stymied the Rio matchup by taking on Kunitskaya at 222.

Usual reminder. Nunes has signed to fight, Cyborg hasn't.

Love that Cyborg wants to squeeze in an extra fight while waiting for Nunes to heal*. Crazy that Amanda has been running and kicking for months by her own admission but is not healthy enough to compete... Cyborg will get another opponent and so will Amanda. Never seen and “overrated hype job” be avoided like the plague.

Come on cyborg fight Nunes on Dec, she can crush all 3 of them before then she doesn't even have to train for any of them.

Dandois isn't even UFC fighter...
The UFC website only lists 4 fighters besides Cyborg in its women's featherweight division:
Yana Kunitskaya
Holly Holm
Tonya Evinger
Megan Anderson

All but Anderson have already fought and lost to Cyborg. Any other Cyborg opponents will of necessity come from outside the UFC, unless they talk another bantamweight into moving up.

Cindy is 12-3 with only 1 win by decision. She's on a 4 fight win streak and 3 of those are finishes. She TKOed Barrs, subbed Megan Anderson and retired Jessamyn Duke. She's unbeaten at 145 and has been talking smack to Cyborg for ages, building some hype. Black belt in Judo, purple in BJJ and she is durable and determined, she won't panic under Cyborg's onslaught. I'm not sure if she vacated her Rizin belt at the moment. Anyway she is a very legit opponent and I'd be excited to see this fight made.

Before the Holm fight people used Megan’s loss to Dandois in their arguments to why she had no chance against Holm/Cyborg. Let’s not flip the switch suddenly and start pretending she’s legitimate competition for Cyborg.

HAHAHAHAHAHA this fucking dude is such a coward

And what about her chin?
Dandois has only lost once by TKO. That was in 2010 to Cyborg's most recent opponent, Yana Kunitskaya. I provided the video, below, and the fight ends 34 seconds into the 1st round so the fight isn't long to watch. Does it tell us anything about the chin of Dandois? It seemed somewhat of an odd stoppage to me, but we can't see it up close like the ref. Clearly, Dandois was dropped, but was she actually in big trouble had the fight continued down on the mat? The ref apparently thought so.

It is quite easy, of course, to imagine that a fight with Cyborg could end very similarly.

Budd and Anderson (megan) need to fight to see who will eventually fight cris.

In the meantime since Nunes doesn't want any of cris, cris can take a keep busy fight.
Budd is actually a complete fighter unlike Anderson.

Hell, maybe Megan should fight through the 3 women Cyborg called out before she faces Cyborg.

To be fair, being healthy enough to run and kick is very different from being healthy enough to compete in MMA. Lots of 60+ year olds run and kick (go to any karate or tae kwon do club); probably none of them could go a round in MMA without their bodies falling apart.

Basically, Nunes is a 135 pounder, Cyborg is a 145 pounder. There's no reason for Nunes to have to go up in weight, nor for Cyborg to go down in weight. Nunes should be fighting 135 pounders, Cyborg should be fighting 145 pounders.

What's worse about Cyborg-Nunes is that the only way to build up the WMMA 145 pound division is to give high profile fights to 145 pounders. Cyborg should be fighting 145 pound women, giving them some name recognition, drawing attention to the division.

She does

Megan has been training 5ys and has only one way to win - bum rush and use her size to to overwhelm. That worked for about 30 seconds in the Holm fight then we saw what happened.

Julia would stand and IMO school the fuck out of megan and probably ko or tko her.

She's the most legit that seems to be available and willing. She'll be a live dog rather than a squash match.

A 51 year old guy really agrees with you. Hitting the air is fine, but now, holy shit it seems like some days even the god damn pads hit back. Hard.

:)

All tree at once.

Cyborg loves crushing soccer moms with minimal athletic background, crossfit trainers, old ladies, ailing mothers, fighters with records of 1-3, 0-1, 1-2, 2-1, etc.
Yeah, so...since Cyborg was 4-1 on the local circuit in 2006 these are her opponent's records at the time of fighting Cyborg

Baszler 10-4
Takahashi 15-10-2
Akano 14-5
Carano 7-0
Coenen 17-3
Finney 8-7
Yamanaka 12-1
Muxlow 6-2
Coenen 21-5
Tweet 6-4
Van Duin 5-1
Ibragimova 9-1
Smith 8-6-1
Lansberg 6-1
Evinger 19-5
Holm 11-3
Kunitskaya 10-3

So you're a fucking idiot. Wasn't hard to prove.
