Media DC willing to make a comeback, diet to 205, to fight Jake Paul in MMA: "I want to torture him"

That ko you posted would be followed up with strikes to the grounded opponent depending on the ref. Many of them are slow to react or let a couple shots come through.

News flash: you can land strikes on KO'd fighters in boxing too. You just have to do it while they're still standing. Which they can do because they have far faster hands.

Notwithstanding that your example is a bad reffing issue, not a sport issue. It's the refs job to be there to stop it instantly precisely so that additional strikes DON'T happen as those are technically blows after the bout is over (or rather should be over). And there are slow refs in boxing too, as well as refs who will allow fighters to come back that they shouldn't by slowing the count so they make it. Which leads to more damage. So that's not unique to MMA.

Nor even better off in MMA given the plethora of brain dead boxers and relatively coherent by contrast MMA fighters would be rather anecdotally proof that the boxers are absorbing far more damage in their bouts.

You're also just proving the point regardless that DC thinks he needs the fight on the ground to do his "more" damage, as opposed to being confident his allegedly superior hands could do so and win a boxing match alone.

News flash: mma fights can continue when fighters are out on their feet.

Their hands may be +/- faster. 4oz gloves vs 8-12oz gloves. (Despite them training specifically boxing).

What is unique to mma is the fight continuing even after a fighter is knocked down. Not the case in boxing where you can a nice count down by the referee.

The age of mma as a popular, televized sport completely invalidated your example of "mma" being safer. We are just now seeing the effects of a lifetime of mma (See Gary goodridge, modern interviews with mark hunt as examples).

Nononono, I'm proving the point that MMA is closer to an actual fight which is what DC wants.

DC’s emotions always run away with him. I generally like him, but when that happens my respect goes out the window. You’re 42 years old, just grow up man.

Brooooooooscienceee

This is one of the few crossover fights I’d buy. Only if DC deals punishment instead of finishing him right away.

Really weird. Why doesn't he just fight in boxing?

Yeah DC wins 99,999 times out of 100,000 in MMA but he wins 99 times out of 100 in boxing.

His point is that he wants to hurt Paul in ways that can't be done in Boxing.
Because he’s scared to get boxed up..

Yoir a big man DC man up and Box him. Or STFU

This call out makes no sense, why would Jake Paul, a novice amateur boxer who's making millions destroying subpar competition in boxing, come over to MMA to make hundreds of thousands to be destroyed by a high level fighter ? Big fan of DC but think before you speak.

DC vs Jake Paul in boxing is at fair financial and is more evenly matched.
