Opinion Democratic Party Leadership Is Moving Away From Bernie Sanders

Clearly, I was alluding to the fact that Democrats are moving away from Bernie in large part because he is a Socialist, and Socialism necessitates higher taxes...

Try European countries that have Socialist economies or are approaching Socialism with larger social programs.

Not necessarily, bernie would be considered closer to the center in those countries. It's all about the allocation and distribution of taxes. The super rich and corporations will have to pick up the slack though, in that sense it's true.

The 2016 primaries exposed FoxNews for being Establishment Republican at its center, but with a conservative outer layer.

At first, all of its coverage was Pro-Jeb, and then Pro-Rubio, and when it became obvious Rubio wasn't going to win they finally and reluctantly were Pro-Trump.

At no point FoxNews ever make the decision to give Ted Cruz positive news coverage, although his conservative stances were supported by the majority of their regular audiences.

For the Berniebros, Cruz was to FoxNews what Bernie was to CNN, in 2015 & 2016.

I remember watching fox news when trump won the nomination. It looked like there was a funeral going on in there. I was laughing my ass off

The nomination, or the Presidency?

Because it was long time before he won the nomination that it was obvious he was going to win the nomination.

As for election night, there was a distinct lack of joy on about everyone's faces.

I remember this exchange between Megan Kelly and Chris Wallace -

Megan - "The Democrats could still win the Senate, right Chris?"

Chris - "It looks like that isn't going to happen."

*Megan Looks Down*

When I saw this I literally said "That fucking bitch."

I've rarely watched FoxNews ever since.

hello fonzob1,

its a little more complicated than that, but i think you're not far off from the truth.

Senator Sanders' platform would essentially involve a massive transfer of wealth from the most monied and powerful segment of society, redistributing it to the rest of the country. as such, there's going to be some significant pushback - particularly if one's net worth eclipses eight figures.

there is no entity on the planet that even comes within sniffing distance of the biggest manifestation of socialism here in the US; our military spending.
