Dismantling Colby’s Recent Career (feat. Fun Facts)

He's honestly just a journeyman who could push the pace against non-wrestlers. Cardio and wrestling will only get you s far, you have to be well rounded overall which he clearly lacks.

Sometimes it’s not who you beat, it’s how you beat them.

Look at Khamzat. Who the hell had he beat to deserve that level of hype?

After he submitted Li, his stock went through the absolute roof and he was already crowned as future champion etc etc. Bo Nickal gets the same sort of treatment.

Colby did fight older, rustier versions of Tyron, Robbie and Jorge, but he really walked through them. They barely laid a glove on him. Then he fights Usman and pushes him to the absolute limit, twice. Both fights were very close, so it’s either Usman was overrated too (which I kind of think he was), or Colby was legit.

You can pick holes in a lot of resumes. Colby isn’t some incredible fighter, but his wrestling allowed him to drown very good fighters. I would think that he would have beaten the likes of Neal, Luque, Thompson with that cardio wrestling game - perhaps he’s now over the hill.
Honestly at this point, he has better wins than Colby.
