Do normal people just have lawyers on retainer for no reason?

A good lawyer can save you soooo much hassle. But for different problems you need a different lawyer: DUI specialist, tax specialist, assault/drunken fistfight specialist, drug specialist etc. You gotta call them, quickly pay the deposit and they can make a difference.

Live PD is now OP Live on Reelz channel or I think peacock.

This is grounds to avoid. I had a family member who had a Lawyer friend that liked to be paid in my family members legit oxy script. Needless to say, they sent a mortgage payment that was cashed and the bank claimed they didnt cash it. So they tried to fight it and were behind on mortgage payments and lost their house. Lawyer told them they should hold onto the mortgage payments until they resolve the "cashed" payment. Bunch of idiots. Never pay with Money Orders. But thats not even the point. Never trust a Lawyer most likely strung out on Oxy.

Never do business with friends/family, or ever be in someone's pocket.

I was talking about an AI lawyer, not an actual real lawyer. There was a thread recently made a few months ago about 20 real attorneys from a good law firm going up against an AI in a court case and the AI made better arguments than what argument all 20 of them can put together

I was talking about an AI app on your phone that can make arguments for you in a court case

I never heard about this. Quite the opposite in fact, two lawyers in New York could be facing disbarment after putting a case completely in the hands of AI and fucking up big time as the AI literally made up non-existent case law in support of its bogus arguments. The lawyers never did any due diligence to look up the cases that the AI was spitting back at them and then were outed. Deliberately trying to mislead the court with bogus legal research and citations is a major offence, and these lawyers could end up throwing away 25+ year careers over this total fuck up.

edit: literally the exact same story above that Tete’s linked to

Maybe a lot of people being arrested have previous experience being... arrested.
Or maybe it is a catchphrase they throw to scare the police.
