Do you find Gane exciting or boring?

Pretty much wonderboy of HW. How exciting the fight will be depends on the match-up. Wonderboy had some boring fights but the latest Holland fight was amazing.

"UFC heavyweights are just fat bar room brawlers with no skill"

Heavyweight with skill shows up

"omg this guy is so boring, why doesn't he just slang n bang?!"

Can never please fans of glorified human cock fighting

Reminds me of Izzy. Hit or miss in terms of excitement and he needs the right opponent, but can be technical and slower fight pace in other fights. It's interesting watching HW's deal with such a fast striker, but also as a fan you're just waiting for Gane to pick his opponents apart.

Exciting, good to watch, skilled fighters are fun to watch

boring, TBH. most of the time he's points fighting. is going to need more finishes going forward or he's going to start getting that reputation more and more.

Generally point fighters aren't the most exciting unless they are putting on a lot of volume. Gane sits back a lot similar to Izzy. They both have the skill to look for the finish but don't always do it. That's why people will view some of the fights as boring. But Gane seems to have paid attention to the talk about his fights and has been actively trying to change it. He's been training to be more aggressive and he finished his last fight.

Same with Volk, he got the same critique about his fights and he started turning it up in his future fights. That's the way it's supposed to be, other fighters just get butt-hurt about it while others change their fighting style.

I would lean more exciting than boring if forced to choose. I’m intrigued to watch him fight if that means anything.

Ultimately, styles make fights. Gane doesn’t take risks when he doesn’t have to. His fights are more exciting when the opponent leaves openings and when he has the physical or skill advantages to exploit them. Tai left several openings and was at a big speed, technique disadvantage. JZ left fewer openings and was also quick enough, skilled enough to make Gane think he had to play safe. JZ is also more of a counter striker who goes forward only when he has noticeable advantages.

Gane so far has done exactly as he has needed to in order to win fights. Some of those were more exciting than others because of the opponent, not Gane. Gane has enough tools to control the narrative. He’s controlled everything except the Ngannou fight where he couldn’t stop the takedown.

Would it be cool to see Gane start more exchanges when facing skilled counter-strikers, sure.
