Do you tip hotel housekeepers?

As I have said before: the rest of the world laughs at US Americans for tolerating this. They even tip on self checkouts and online purchases.

Of course, I’m not a piece of shit.

I stay at a hotel for work 6 or 7 nights in a row every other week, and I tip a $20 bill at the end of my stretch because it is a thankless job in a small town Mom and Pop hotel. All the workers are nice and they make sure I have a room available whenever I call to book.

I keep my room clean, but I see the other patrons going through the are and I imagine some of those folks leave a quite a mess for the housekeepers.
You're a hooker huh.

I always put the do not disturb when business travelling. I have never left a tip for the housekeeper

Why stop there? I mean let’s just start leaving tips for every service industry job that exists. Gtfo with this bullshit. I see tip jars fucking everywhere now and every fucking swipe machine now asks if you want to leave a tip..ffs
