I think he is both Connors grappling coach and also trains himself when Connor doesn't need him.

Wow, terrible thread even by Sherdog standards.

On a more positive note, her match with Yas Wilson at Polaris 4 last weekend was excellent. I also really liked how she paid respect to Yas' toughness. Has anyone seen Dominyka's app on Digitsu? She had some nifty mount attacks at Polaris beyond the usual cross-choke/armbar/ezequiel, so I'd be curious to learn more about it if she covers that on the app.

He's a paid sparring partner like pretty much boxer uses. Connor just has the money to run a camp with partners that aren't just already at the gym

Facts are, that I am probably right. Come on, Dom was grown pretty much totally at MG's and MG is one of the best of all time....there is some serious shit going on if she take up going to Fab's instead...and women do do a lot of stupid shit like this over dudes.


A while ago there were rumors about fabio's place having sex shit and gang bangs and shit. I hope her decision has nothing to do with that.

I don't know Dominyka and I don't train at Marcelo's, but I really admire the dedication required to become a black-belt BJJ world champion. This means thousands of hours on the mat, literally pointing your entire life towards that one goal, and is only possible if you're a uniquely driven and focused individual.

Yet with no additional information, you're willing to completely throw away all this to go straight to the "women do a lot of stupid shit over dudes" explanation.

I'm not saying you're wrong: maybe it *is* about a dude. Or maybe it isn't, who knows. But the fact that you're jumping to that explanation *just because she's a woman* is both disrespectful and extremely sexist. I don't have any illusions about changing your mind, but I thought it was important to point out that not everybody here shares your views.

shes only 21 years old...sure an adult but still young and still juvenile. about becoming a black belt most of us were not fortunate enough to have parents enroll us in BJJ as kids. Dominyka started BJJ at 7 which is why shes a champion. Most of us started BJJ when we were already adults.

Stereotypes exist for a reason and it is your kind of mindset if why the world is so damn weak right now. Everything offends people, no one can actually speak their mind. Blame it all on being sexist, etc. I for one agree with Pixelated Porn. There is no harm in speculating in situations such as this. Afterall, we are Sherdog!
 
Something I learned in this thread: if you start bjj at 7 years old you will become a blackbelt world champion.
 
This post and some of the posters in it are a good example of how this forum is going downhill. Posters like AEMD and Pixelated Porn are just white belts that really aren't into the actual art of BJJ,competitions of BJJ,or the techniques. They frequent the flame boards like The War Room and really only interested in drama and BS here.Go look at their posts. Who in the hell cares who Dominiyka is dating? Why do these "men" care to gossip about BS like that? She is one of the best female BJJ competitors ever and felt she needed a change.I hope it works out for her and she continues to improve and be a great competitor.

and stop bringing other gyms into this too, just dragging their name into something based on "rumors."

Also, Fabio's is a GREAT place to train and, he has produced multiple world champions from scratch across the belt ranks so let's not make like training there isn't high level.
