The larger problem is most artist only have finite number of things to say in a song and usually go on making music long past they've exhausted said things.

I quit caring after The Eminem Show, but up until that point even when he wasn't spitting venom he was fun to listen to because he was clever.

Especially on the Slim Shady Lp songs like Brain Damage,As the World Turns, Role Model, Still Don't Give A. They are unique with nothing else like it even today
