Romanian Ion Ciucur, 28, who works in a hotel in Gretna Green, Scotland, has admitted conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm by taking part in a castration by clamping and one other modification.

He is said to be ‘part of Gustavson’s inner circle’.

German Stefan Scharf, 61, is charged with conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm.

He is accused of taking part in a single procedure by removing a testicle in an apartment in Camden, London, in July 2019.

He will enter a plea on 12 January.

Former nurse Nathaniel Arnold, 46, Jacob Crimi-Appleby, 23, and Damien Byrnes, 36, removed body parts from Gustavson and are due to be sentenced on 12 January.

Arnold, Crimi-Appleby and Brynes admitted causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Crimi-Appleby froze Gustavson’s leg causing it to require amputation, Brynes removed his penis while Arnold was involved in the partial removal of his nipple.

Arnold also admitted stealing Lidocaine while working as nurse at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital between January 2016 and January 2022, and possession of extreme pornographic images.

Gustavson’s alleged ‘right-hand man’ surgeon Peter Wates, 66, has admitted conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.

He was said to have a major role as surgeon in a large number of procedures.

Japanese artist Mao Sugiyama became a famous 'nullo' in 2012 after having his genitals removed, freezing them and then cooking and serving them at a banquet.

Carruthers’ partner Ashley Williams, 31, has admitted causing grievous bodily harm with intent to Atkin at his home in Newport, south Wales, on 7 November 2017.

Gustavson, Scharf and Ciucur are remanded in custody while the others are on conditional bail, including curfew and residence.

Crimi-Appleby, from Epsom, Surrey, has admitted freezing Gustavson's left leg so that it had to be amputated in February 2019.

They first started communicating when Crimi-Appleby was 17, but he told Gustavson he was 18.

He said he was interested in castration and Gustavson told Crimi-Appleby that he was a 'great age', and encouraged him to have the procedure.

They began a sexual relationship in early 2019, with Gustavson boasting about other modifications and keeping the testicles of other men in a jar, which Crimi-Appleby thought was 'awesome'.

The pair began discussing amputation in January 2019 and Crimi-Appleby said he could not wait to see Gustavson 'without a leg' and that he would look 'amazing'.

A video for the eunuch maker website shows Gustavson sitting on a bed with his left leg in a bucket saying "ooh this is cold" as Crimi-Appleby adds dry ice.

Gustavson was treated at the Royal Free Hospital following the procedure, which lasted at least eight hours and eventually resulted in his left leg being amputated below the knee.

He was discharged around two months after the amputation and received £18,500 in benefits between July 2019 and October 2021 after making a successful claim for Personal Independent Payment - to help people with extra costs of living with a health condition or disability.

Byrnes, who was initially hired by Gustavson as an escort, 'readily agreed' to perform a modification, knowing it would be filmed and uploaded to the website to generate revenue, the court was told.

The court heard that Gustavson advertised for someone to assist him in becoming a eunuch on a gay dating app before offering Byrnes, an escort, £500 for carrying out the procedure.

Two days before the procedure Gustavson told Byrnes that he was cutting another person and that he could be a 'sexy, kinky helper'. Gustavson had previously boasted that he had 'done over 26 guys in total, 18 totally done', which was a reference to the removal of both penis and testicles, the prosecutor said.

His face was clearly shown in the video of him removing Gustavson's penis using a kitchen knife in what was described as 'a life-threatening procedure performed in a non-medical environment'.

He is heard to say: "Well that's one off the bucket list. I never expected that one," and asks Gustavson: "Would you eat humans?"

Gustavson called an ambulance following the procedure and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The court heard Byrnes, from Tottenham, north London, was initially offered £500 and his motivation was 'financial rather than sexual'... Financial records showed Gustavson paid Byrnes more than £1,500 over two years, the court was told.

Byrnes, Crimi-Appleby, and Arnold will be sentenced on Monday.

Gustavson has previously admitted charges including a conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm and will be sentenced with others on 4 and 5 March.

Nurse Nathan Arnold, 48, from South Kensington, west London, admitted the partial removal of Gustavson’s nipple with a scalpel in the summer of 2019.

He admitted to stealing anaesthetic between 2016 and 2022 from the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital where he had worked and also possessing 72 extreme pornographic images which were described by the judge as 'graphic and appalling'.

He was handed two years in custody suspended for two years and 100 hours of unpaid work.

He was also handed 60 days of rehabilitation activity requirement and an alcohol treatment requirement.
