Izzy’s KO was the biggest fluke. He beat Izzy 3 times in a row and was on his way to KOing him a 3rd time until he got caught. The weight cut clearly affected his chin

Alex's wins over Sean Strickland and Jan probably make Izzy look worse because he failed to beat those two (I know Alex beat an older Jan).

It also makes Jan look pretty damn good considering that his fight against Pereira was close and others are getting murdered.
People are sleeping on how good Jan is because he is slow and plodding.

The same thing has happened in their last 3 fights. Alex is simply not as skilled as Izzy is.

The last 3 fights Izzy has found Alex's chin first every time. He got embarrassed in Brazil to the point he was about to be TKO'd if not for a friendly hometown ref.

Same in New York, but for the pure luck of the bell.

Then when its nothing to save him. he gets KO'd

Izzy was still the favorite when he was 3-0 down, for this reason. (yes I know its beyond the mental capabilities of sherdoggers to consider details and nuances of a fight beyond the results), but the world saw Alex can't beat Izzy at 185. unless something strange is happening.

Izzy is already far far ahead of Alex, so whatever he Alex does is meaningless. He embarrassed him in front of audiences 3x. Mocked him with "here you can beat me, but we both know how it happened"

Alex was never really a MW anyway, he walked out taller and broader than Hill, LHW is his place - and I don't think Izzy can compete with him there, he doesn't have the size - so again its not relevant. But for MW, Alex is Izzys son.

what are you talking about? When was Alex saved by a bell or a ref lmao? You do realize Alex knocked Izzy out cold right, one shot KOd and knocked him out again in mma and you say it wasn’t a clean win? lol gtfo. Even in the first kickboxing fight every judge scored it for Alex because he landed the better shots and did more damage. Literally knocked him out twice and doesn’t have a undeniable win lol, Izzy never came close to winning either of those fights.

Izzy lost 3 times to him and was on his way to losing a 4th time before the KO. It’s obvious the weight cut affected him which led to being chinny in that fight.

When did Izzy embarrass Alex 3 times? You mean the other way right? The entire world seen Alex KO Izzy stiff by one shot and even had to have oxygen after the fight then seen him knocked out in mma and start crying lol.

When did a bell save Alex? Izzy landed a shot after the bell and it didn’t even drop Alex, where did you come up with that Izzy would’ve finished Alex based off that? Why couldn’t Izzy land the shot during the fight, he had 5 round to do so lmao.

I think we all know that if Izzy and Poatan fought 10 times we'd see a Poatan KO in most of those fights (7 or 8 of them imho).
It was obviously a great win for Izzy on paper, but it wasn't convincing by any means.
He was getting styled on.

Obviously doesn't help that he'll avoid any talk of a rematch like the plague, too.

Alex is just a level above, that's all really.

After he beat Alex, then wouldn't give him a rematch, it was the first time in Izzy's ufc stint of being less than honorable ( puppy pleasuring & painted nails aside).

Throwing shade at Alex after ducking him is petty AF. It's a terrible look on Izzy to continue doing so, WHILE STILL Cowardly Avoiding Alex.

No Pereira winning does not boost Izzy at all because Pereira is 3-1, gave Izzy a rematch after beating him both in kickboxing and again in MMA. Now that Izzy finally got a win over him Izzy is avoiding Pereira at all costs which actually makes Izzy look worse. Not to mention Izzy failed at 205 meanwhile Pereira is the champ and also beat the guy that Izzy could not beat at 205. Ko'd Strickland as well and Strickland whooped Izzy. Does all of Mousasi's success after losing to Uriah Hall make Hall look better? Did every win GSP got make Matt Serra look better? How about every win DJ got, does that make Brad Pickett look better?

Beat him in kickboxing? He was lucky to get a decision win then got his ass handed to him in the rematch, so badly the ref had to jump in and stop him taking damage. A hometown ref no doubt. Any other scenario it ends there.

You have a bias hometown ref bending the rules so Alex can survive. His legacy is tainted.
Standing 8 counts are so rare in kickboxing, I have never seen another one, EVER.

And lmao you reference to the Jan fight, what a joke, Izzy went in underweight, essentially fought Jan as a MW. And lost via decision. Alex was already much bigger, bulked up properly (did you not just see him taller and broader than Jamal), and only won via split decision.

You forget not everyone here is a rock brained sherdogger who takes things at face value. Some of remember the details and the nuances of these fights.

And please if you know your fights, find me a single pro kickboxing bout in the last 20 years that includes a standing 8 count - cause the only reason the ref bought that in (when its never used) was to save Alex's ass from being TKO'd in front of his home crowd. Any other circumstance the fight ends there
