Crime FL Teacher resigns after posters of MLK and Obama removed from his class

Another side to the story came out and the man was told to move the posters to another area in his room because a behavior specialist said he needed to put learning specific posters in that spot for the autistic students he was teaching. His entire classroom was set-up poorly for the students he was teaching.

The behavior analyst told James that the bulletin board directly behind his teaching area had to be dedicated to state-required curricular materials that he would require to teach his specific students, according to the district.

"To be clear, due to the nature of this specific population of students, it is critical the instructional materials be within their line of sight during instruction, for the purposes of student focus and retention," read the district's statement.

"The Behavior Analyst observed his bulletin board was 'Awesome,' because of the history tied to it, but the language and reading levels on the posters were too complex for this particular group of students," the statement said.

"The instructional materials could have been displayed appropriately, and Mr. James's display could simultaneously have been honored. We were surprised these basic communicative steps were not taken by such a veteran teacher."

Thanks for adding additional detail. So in your opinion is James merely seeking attention with his complaint?

I would say attention with a go fund me and to be held up woke crowd. Then dox the school and do ad much damage to the people as he can. Force them to give him job back, let him do anything he wants in the class room.

That's based on the fact he flat out lied.

With will not matter with the hard woke.

I have no idea what his intentions were. Maybe he was trying to create a dialogue about racism which seems to be the go to excuse when people are caught lying about these kinds of incidents.

I couldn't find a GoFundMe for this guy.

Shall we assume he was pissed someone moved his stuff, so he said "F*ck it" and quit?

After all, it looks like the two staffers at the school didn't remove his mural from the classroom, they just told him to put it in another place within the same classroom.

Also, he was only teaching 4-6 kids. Is this total or at a time? I have one class with just a handful of kids. Therefore, that classroom is shared by other teachers. So, I don't put much up on the walls in that particular classroom.

This actually makes sense to me. Glad to see there was a reasonable explanation. If that's the case, shame on the teacher for prioritizing pictures of a war criminal and a socialist over accommodations for special needs students. Cognitive disabilities are way higher than skin color on the intersectional oppression index. Be better.

Same with the fake hate crimes. I'm trying to raise awareness, yada yada yada... No, it is usually some cry for attention, attempt at martyrdom for a cause, or blatant GoFundMe cash grab. People act all kinds of weird when they can't accept their own insignificance and move on with their day.

In a statement released Thursday, school district officials refuted the allegations made by the teacher, Michael James, and claimed there were "inaccuracies" in his account of the incident.

"Mr. James's teaching assignment for 2022-2023 was to be a very small unit (4-6 students) of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) students," the statement read.

"Mr. James's room was, at that point, set up in a more 'traditional' classroom configuration, with rows of desks facing the front of the room, which is a wholly inappropriate use of space for a group of students like the ones he was assigned," according to the statement.

TS dropping another bullshit culture war story.

leftists are storytellers

the best kinds

of course, fictional stories.

Ah, looks like yet another narcissistic, attention seeking, self-obsessed lefty teacher trying to gain some publicity.

Escambia teacher said pictures of Black leaders removed from his class (pnj.com)

This is fucking crazy. I guess photos of Black historical figures in US history is now considered CRT.
His school is predominately Black and he was trying to have people that look like his students that were successful, which I think is a great idea, but I guess not appropriate in the current Culture War.
It is the panhandle of Florida so I guess Nathan Bedford Forrest, pictures would be allowed.

Florida has a big teacher shortage, and it should be no surprise. You have a small group of people who were protesting teachers over masks, which was not their decision. Teachers are called groomers and now you can not have photos of MLK in your class. This is all calculated, because an uneducated population is easier to control.

Also, I pray this is not a Jussie situation and he faked it. Unfortunately, that is where we are at in today's binary America.

This is the slippery slope shit that happens when your governor is a first class asshole.

None of it should be allowed. Politics should be treated like religion. You can discuss it, but any sort of overt influential symbolism that could effect how students behave and form their opinions around a teacher who has certain leanings, should not be allowed to be displayed in the classroom.

George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Harriet Tubman or MLK not allowed in school?

<36>

Jussie strikes again lol. As soon as I read title I knew it sounded like bullshit. Even racists like MLK.

Okay, who was the district employee and why did he remove them? Maybe I missed that part in the thread but it doesn't specify in the article. So I'm going to air on the side of this being a hoax by the teacher who resigned. Leftists like to setup these kinds of things to "prove" that mean old conservatives and their policies are wrong. I can see this teacher being an attention seeking clown who wanted to prove some point he cooked up in his idiot imagination.

Okay I'm glad I went back to look for something like this. So this is clearly a temper tantrum or stunt on the part of the teacher. Thanks for bringing this information to light.

Naah. A representative of a secular government should appear secular. Wear your religous indicators after hours, not while working for an organization that's supposed to be secular.
thats asking too much for my tastes. ill wear my crucifix anywhere i want in a country that has freedom of religion. you can check me if i start to preach it to kids though.

Reddit's almost completely gone. There's no real discussion there anymore, aside from the more interesting subreddits. Look at how liberals on this board flood the place with every reddit talking point they can find. The Trump raid thread being the perfect example.

lol. this guy again......
