I mean its a two bladed sword, on one hand I dislike the UFCs payment policy but on the other hand we have Frank Ford Escort who lost his first title fight, then won the 2nd attempt and had exactly one title defense but he presents himself like achieved the same stuff as JBJ or other GOATS. How can you like this? Dude, you knocked out a few upcomers and some old dawgs, are 2-1 in championship fights but you think you can make more money than all before you?

Someone needs to kick the door down. Fighter pay isn't going to increase by being quiet and humble.

I'm shocked no one is jumping at the chance at such an easy payday
The top 3 names are circling each other to see who can sign the big fight first with Fury.
Oleksandr Usyk, who has the most belts, is a 2 division champ was undisputed champ at cruiserweight, still undefeated and should be the guy everybody wants to fight still isn't getting the attention he deserves. We're still talking about Anthony Joshua and he's lost to Usyk twice now

Idiot for believing a Tyson Fury callout was a sure thing. He should have fought Jones for millions. Maybe if he did that, Dana would have considered allowing a boxing match. And the boxers would be interested. Fury was only interested in fighting the MMA HW champ. Now someone who’s star power is fading.

The man could retire and settle for life with $9 million + other bonus after losing to Jones. What a moron.

So he is an idiot for believing Fury would fight him but he should have believed that Jones was going to show up?
Ngannou had been calling for that fight years and Jones was AWOL. Even if Ngannou signed back to the UFC there is zero guarantee Jones doesn't retire straight away.

funny that multiple orgs won't sign him because of his demands and such, but some still blame Dana being unreasonable.

I'm not saying Dana is a reasonable guy, but it's getting more and more clear that Frank is killing his own negotiations.

He’s 37 years old and coming off of a knee injury; the time for him to build ring experience and a resume in boxing has long passed. He wanted a “Superfigh,t” or money fight if we’re honest. It’s not gonna work out like he thought.
What Francis wants in his contract and what may work out for him long term don’t have to be the same thing. I agree that he’ll likely not do well in a boxing career. But he’s been quite vocal about wanting that.

According to Francis, One declined because he had already tentavily agreed to sign with another promotion. Seems like it will be Bellator or PFL at this point.

Ok good well I guess we will see what happens.

And you base this on what?
Why would Bellator do anything to help the UFC?
They gain nothing on helping their competition.

Several fighter has left the UFC and gone elsewhere no problem.

Im not saying this is the case Im saying I wouldn't be surprised. Like I said it seems suspicious that these orgs keep coming out with these damning headlines that reinforce this narrative surrounding Francis. Maybe Dana White has a personal axe to grind with Francis and reached out to these other orgs.

One would expect Francis to be more flexible as he sees his options dwindle. Yet the story were getting is that he is just completely unreasonable and inflexible.

Could it be so simple Francis actually has some demands no orgs (so far) is willing to meet?

That's certainly possible but would be suprising given his rapidly deteriorating position.

call it what you will, but it was again a demonstration of dana's brilliance. he didn't want ngannou leaving and posing a threat, so he offers him a shit load of money, which no one else will touch, and now he's in purgatory, hoping for a boxing deal that will probably never really come to fruition.... the longer he sits out, the lower his price tag becomes....

It is always about money. Francis’ demands are too high. ONE is bleeding money, so there is no way it can afford hi.

Bullar fought in UFC with unimpressive fights and 3-1 record.

He won the title in ONE against Brandon Vera.

Not very impressive.
3-1 UFC, and ONE HW title... yea, not impressive at all. in fact, so terrible

Which UFC win impressed you the most?

Luis Henrique, Marcelo Golm or Juan Adams?
the one where he won three matches in the UFC HW division, like any other UFC HW would. probably that one. and then to win the ONE HW title. probably that too, means something ya know, seeing as how the UFC HW division is weak, historically weak, and it's HW. i don't know, could be that.

You are very astute and specific, I appreciate that.

The thing is the deal was 8/2/2. So really they would have to offer 4 per fight to give him the exact same amount.

Really can be done if he gets good sponsors etc.

I think whoever loses out of the fury/wilder/Joshua will use him for the easy pay day.
There is no appeal for Francis from the casuals to generate a pay day.

I mean I've had several verbal contracts w chicks saying they would screw me if they didn't have a boyfriend and it never lead to nothing
