Got a Wii for 5 year old nephew, any game recommendations?

I got Super Mario Galaxy, I just started the game and Mario is constantly pulled to the right side of the screen without me even controlling him, is this normal?

Any other game recommendations for 5 year old? I'm thinking super smash bros. and kirby.

You might need to calibrate the Wii remote or something.

Wings Island is pretty good for that age group.

I just find the simple Wii sports is fun. Baseball, tennis, sword fighting, boxing etc etc. Creating Wii characters is fun.

My friend told me he was getting a Wii for his son but I heard "I got my son Weed for Christmas"

lol it led to a sitcom like conversation of hilarious confusion before we figured out what we were talking about.

My nephew likes the Skylanders games, they are a bit of an investment though.

The Super Mario Galaxy games, Mario Kart Wii, Sonic Colors, Kirby, Wii Play, Wii Sports, Wii Sports resort, New Mario Brothers, Klonoa. Lots of third party games too, honestly, I'll have to look up a list because there are tons of them.
