Gsp strength of opponents is a myth

Yeah BJ, Shields, Hardy, Fitch, Koscheck, Hughes, Serra, Hendricks, Bisping, Alves, Mayhem Miller, Condit, Sherk, Trigg, Pete Spratt, Menjivar, Jay Hieron and Karo are all just a bunch of no good fucking bums who deserve to fight at Gladiator Challenge or at the local parking lot of wal mart. Bunch of amateurs, yeah right. Sure. Easiest schedule ever. Like Ever ever. These guys all suck for sure 10000%. Uhmmmmm.
Well since you put it that way...
Lw bj is not a great ww win
Sheilds is a great win but he was on a decline as evidenced by his pedestrian post gsp record
Hardy isn't even a top 50 ww all times
Fitch was a great win but IMO a bit overrated because he dominated the weakest era of ww.
Kos is an average win at best dude was not an all time.great stop inflating his career please
Hughes was 40 when gsp finally beat him
Serra lol
Hendricks he lost and retired for fear of a rematch
Bisping he cherry picked and beat the worst version of that guy
Mayhem was an average fighter at best at 170
Condit great win against a guy whose career was clearly on the downside as evidenced by his 2-9 record since.
Trigg karo spratt menjivar.... Gimme a break guy. This is prelim stuff. I appreciate the ogs like trigg but the guy wasnt great.

We can keep.going if you want.

What runs were they on before Georges fought them?

GSP would have had to have been incredibly lucky to defend against each of them at EXACTLY the juncture where they fell off after being on a title run.
This. The premise for this thread is just stupid, lol.

Quite honestly, this is one of the most sensible posts in this thread. Thank you for that.

GSP beat Robbie Lawer? Tyron woodley? Paul Daley? Didn't think so, too busy tapping to strikes against lightweights.

No...I said he beat them OR they didn't get a title shot because they got beat. Woodley got tooled by Nate Marquardt and Jake Shields, therefore never made it to GSP before he retired (Woodley also got beat by Rory MacDonald, the substandard Canadian MMA star).

Lawler lost to Johnny Hendricks after GSP tooled Hendricks.

Daley was busy fighting in Dubai Fighting Championship and Cage Contender after losing to Diaz and Woodley.

Any others?

Are you Canadian?

I cant believe this piece of shit thread is still going

Protip: after fighters lose a title fight they tend to lose more. Otherwise they'd get another title fight and reset the cycle.

We'd have to at least see the same measurement compared between GOAT-tier champions to make a judgment.

All you've done is confirm that GSP destroyed great fighters and they were never the same after he beat them.
Or fought guys past thier peak that were on the downhill slide. Which is the case for most. Gsp was a point fighter, people weren't scared of him or mental beaten by him.

Gsp curse is real. Whoever he beats becomes depressed. Made bisping retire

It's a real factor. Nothing is black and white. Of course there are other factors. Like home relationships. We don't have the answers.

GSP's style metally breaks opponents, this is a fact. We saw it happen to a finish against Serra and Penn. We've see his opponents cover up and wait.

My point remains the same . I believe most fighters would rather lose fighting , than be technically outclassed and out matched for 25 mins, with no offense to show for it.

It will mentally effect lots of people negatively. No matter the sport or game.

That’s too much speculation n can’t really be used as an a legit argument

Anderson also had fighters on his record with good runs before facing him, but then fell off after. There too we could assume he “broke them”

James Irvin won 4/5 fights before facing Anderson, n then lost 4/5. So does that mean he broke him?

Travis lutter too won 4/5 fights before facing Anderson, n then went 1/2 n retired. Again did Anderson break him as well?

It makes no sense to try n play a psychologist here n guess what was their mindset.

We can only look at the numbers n see a pattern where most of gsp opponents on good runs are not able to sustain their winning after facing him.

Some did, but most did not.

Now it makes no sense to assume top athletes/fighters would just fold after one tough loss. A tough loss would have an opposite affect on a true competitor.

It would lit fire under their ass n made them get better.

You really think non of those guys wanted to face gsp again?

He himself would always say after they fought that a loss would make them better fighters.

That’s what happen to him as well, twice.

When he lost to Hughes n Serra, he was probably questioning himself at 1st, but then that gave him extra motivation to get better.

So he either did “break them”, which means they didn’t have winners mentality or they simply weren’t that good n started losing when facing better competition

Actually no.

Bisping was so eager to fight again that he took a fight on the other side of the world few weeks after.

After he got demolished by a blown up ww within 2 minutes he realized he doesn’t have it anymore n retired

You lose all credibility with that bolded part...

Gsp tooled Hendricks? How?

By getting a sd win most ppl thought he lost?

There’s a reason why he retired in his prime after that tough fight

He knew the era of one dimensional fighters n blown up lw is over n he would have to face guys who are hard to td n have ko power

Colby Covington is the number 1 contender in today's WW division. Take a moment and imagine how bad Georges would fuck up Colby. You really don't need to do any more than that to remember how good Georges was.

Some of GSP Title Defense Wins:
Johnny Hendricks, #10 Pound for Pound most dangerous WW contender since GSP himself, GSP won
Carlos Condit, Interm Champion, defeated a red hot Nick Diaz, #10 Pound for Pound, GSP again dominated
Thiago Alves, #9 Pund for Pound, GSP again schools
BJ Penn, LW Champion, #4 Pound for Pound, GSP completely dominated him
Jake Shields, #7 Pound for Pound, GSP outclassed him
Jon Fitch- On a Dominate 16 fight win streak ranked #10 Pound for Pound, outclassed Jon

A great strength of schedule, the only weak title contender he faced was Dan Hardy, but every dominate champion has one of two
