The current IAF and the IDF suck.
30 days of fighting and Hamas is still fighting in Gaza. Hezbollah has not even fully committed to this conflict.
Damn, old school IAF and IDF beat the Egyptian, Jordanian, and Syrian Army and Air Force in 6 days back in 1967.

ISW - Hamas/Israeli Conflict, 7 November 2023.
  • Israeli forces entered the northern outskirts of al Shati refugee camp in the northwestern Gaza Strip, according to local and Axis of Resistance-affiliated reporting as well as geolocated footage.
  • Hamas and other Palestinian militants are continuing their attacks against the IDF behind the Israeli forward line of advance, which is consistent with the nature of clearing operations.
  • CTP-ISW recorded seven indirect fire attacks into Israel, five of which targeted Israeli military facilities.
  • The al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade conducted eight attacks on Israeli forces in the West Bank after threatening revenge for an Israeli raid that killed fighters from the al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade and Hamas.
  • Iranian-backed militants continued cross-border attacks into northern Israel at their normal rate.
  • The Islamic Resistance in Iraq—a coalition of Iranian-backed Iraqi militias—claimed responsibility for four attacks on US forces in Iraq and Syria.
  • UK-based outlet Amwaj Media reported that senior Axis of Resistance officials traveled to Iran in the summer of 2023 to establish a regional joint operations room.
  • Iranian officials are continuing their attempts to rally the Arab and Muslim world against Israel.
regime change is alot more involved than just defeating military aggression.

you didn't address this: arabs have a right to their own country? there are 22 member states of the arab league. about 120 countries globally are majority christians. 51 countries globally are majority muslim. there is ONE TINY country in the world that is majority jews. ONE. the 98th most populated country.
I did address it. Was any of what you stated above done for the sole purpose of a religion?
as for the vatican, they are protected militarily by everyone around them. it's literally the complete opposite of israel.
Why did Israel choose to create itself at its current location? It new the dangers. There are safer places for Israel to exist: Northern California, Southern Alaska, The Oklahoma panhandle, Algeria, Brazil, Australia, and the list goes on.

Indeed.
The US found that out in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Regime change would be stage 2. Israel is nowhere close to ending stage 1.
Israel will fail in trying to eliminate Hamas from Gaza as much as Ukraine will fail in trying to eliminate Russia from Ukraine.

that's absolutely NOT addressing that those other religions HAVE countries that they are majority and set laws based on religions and have lots of land and spaces that reflect them. jews have none, other than the one tiny speck, and some of you want to take that away too. to leave them with none, and nations hostile to jews all around.

on what basis are you suggesting they will fail?

as for the vatican, they are protected militarily by everyone around them. it's literally the complete opposite of israel. and again, there are about 40 countries that are a catholic majority.
without israel there would be ZERO countries globally that have a majority of jews. see numbers above for arab, muslim, catholic, christian......

This is a good point and one I haven’t thought about. The idea of “the state of Israel” has me on the fence because it would be like having a state of Christianity or state of white people. That feels wrong to me. You SHOULD be able to exist as either of those things without needing your own country. It’s called coexistence.

But that said, Jews have been persecuted worldwide and their existence nearly wiped by out by the Nazis. So if anyone did have a case for their own ethno or religious state, it would be them.

The fact that you point out how many Arab/Muslim states already exist though is a fair point. If you go to Saudi Arabia, the interstate and certain exits are restricted to Muslims and their governments are caliphates and under Islamic rule. So basically, they have an Arab/Muslim state.

I guess I’m pushed a little further to Israel having the right to exist but ultimately, I wish it didn’t NEED to exist and it shows how tribal we still are as humans.

thank you sir.

You are comparing apples and oranges.
How many countries fly a Christian cross on their flag?

just stop. you have alot more religious freedom in israel than alot of majority christian or muslim countries. again, israel is the ONE country where jews enjoy a majority and are ensured they retain their religious freedoms for as long as it exists.

For the second time, wtf do you want Israel to so about some random reporters residing in Gaza??

Let's imagine some AP reporters knew about 9/11 and escorted the terrorists to the planes documenting them.
All's good you'd say?
if they participated in a massacre that killed over 1000 people, they could capture and prosecute them. they aren’t doing that, because it’s bullshit lol

For 2,000 years, we've said "Next Year in Jerusalem" at the end of the Passover Seder.

Having a separate country in Northern California, would have been awkward, don't you think?

Dumbest post ever. Look at the flags under the fighters' names at the next UFC event.

Edit to add...roughly a dozen countries have the crescent moon on their flags - a Muslim symbol
Edit to add more...27 countries officially enshrine Islam as their state religion. 13 countries designate Christianity, or some denomination thereof, as the official state religion. Way, way more give preferences to preferred religions.

Do you think they are issuing arrest warrants and sending the police in to Gaza to make arrests for the 10/7 terrorists?

The pushback against Israel being a "Jewish state" is because they keep proclaiming "We're the only free, equal democracy in the Middle East!"

Clearly not true when you have a host of laws that prioritizes one religious group over another. They literally have laws that dictate who Arab citizens of Israel can marry, what land they can live on, and a whole bunch of laws that are completely discriminatory and designed to keep the population low. That's not an equal democracy.

I don't question Israel's right to exist at all and many do not either. That's just a strawman people keep using to detract from legitimate criticism. Such as their illegal settlement building.
