She took the crossover seriously she isn't going to try to become the best striker she will continue to get better at wrestling suited towards MMA and blend it with her physical abilities judoka skillset. Impressive debut. How she ever gets to 145 I have no clue or maybe they just keep her at 155.

it's one fight and it was against a soccer mom, but it was certainly a large step in the right direction.

From what I can see?

She looks extremely promising. I don't think anyone will be able to deal with her strength, TD's, top control, and submissions.

Kayla would whoop Sara McMann, Cat Zingano, Cyborg.

Oh great, another limited skill set, armbar specialist. I've seen how this book ends...

She doesn’t have a head coach and friggin Mike Tyson gassing her up on her boxing abilities. She is using Rousey as a precautonary tale. Focusing on improving her wrestling for MMA and is curtailing her game for mma. She said “she would live and die by underhook now” and “there’s not going to be any head and arm shit”. Her team at ATT is focusing on what will work for her in MMA and she’s a great example of how a crossover into MMA being done right.

I hope you're right and I hope the UFC hype machine leaves her alone for a while and let's her settle in.

That would be best. Her debut was so one-sided we have yet to see what she does when she gets punched in the face. I get the feeling she knows very well the climate she is stepping into though. She is at ATT and being coached by Mike Brown who is not mentioned overly on Sherdog but I think he’s a good coach. He helped Joanna round out her game and TDD but he isn’t all up in the fighters interviews...

It's gonna be

Rickson by armbar
Fedor by armbar
Ronda by armbar
Kayla by flawless armbar

She's probably the best athlete in women's MMA right now. What that will mean remains to be seen, but she looks very strong, very athletic, and she wants to prove she's the best fighter in the world. I'm interested to see how she comes along.

She’s takented and accomplished. Who is there for her at 155, or (except Cyborg) at 145?
