HEAVYWEIGHT COACH (why the average coach shouldn't be training heavy weights)

Don't believe me... that's fine, I'm going to stick with Stacy... Max and Larry

Ok. You do that. But why do you suddenly feel the need to revive this thread and tell us about it?

As with your recent thread about American obesity, this thread seems to serve no purpose, except perhaps an idiosyncratic one of your own.

What is it?

That's a more interesting question than your theories about optimal HW coaching and American obesity - at least, it is for those with an interest in psychology.

I'd speculate that you're experiencing a mid-life crisis, or something akin to one. Or maybe it's just a neurotic product of everyday trials and tribulations. I dunno.

It's probably more of a 2/3's life crisis due to the decreased life expectancy as a result of his clinical obesity. The end is near, gotta get your kicks in.

I am afraid it's more of a run of the mill attention seeking trolling..

On one hand he said he's an 'accomplished high school wrestling coach'. When that didn't give him the necessary validation and attention he was seeking, he changed it to this and being the founding father of MMA and once beating up Mike Tyson in a bar and then preparing Rocky Balboa for one of his fights because only a heavyweight knows how to prepare another heavyweight for a fight against Ivan Drago.

I am amazed you continue with this gimmick...

So when is UFC honoring you for being the 'Founding Father of MMA'?

Sounds like you boys were looking for drama out of a simple proletarian statement

I said I was A founding father of American MMA

not THE founding father of MMA

going to have to give you boys a kellyanne on this one

*hint

A=plural
THE=singular

Go play with your turtles G

For those of you that may be casual readers to this thread I am simply gloating that so many boxing pros and champions Ecco the simple truth of my thread

I occasionally enjoy rubbing it in to the nose of the angry fellas so sore about my caustic Style

Just like Max Stacy and Larry told you....
heavyweights are unique and the best people to coach a heavyweight fighter is someone that was a heavyweight competitor themselves

this.... a simple truth in fightsports may be confusing to the individual who has witnessed a smaller man coaching a heavyweight to proficiency on tv

what you see on TV isn't always the optimal situation

this thread is seeking to describe an optimal situation

As to my "founding father of American mma" status

I said i converted a community center kickboxing club to MMA after the 1st UFC aired in 1993

We were just a bunch of local guys who met at the douglass community center in Louisville KY

Just because we bought MMA gloves and started fighting on the ground doesn't imply we
"created the sport"

However I am proud of the fact that we did Supply Fighters to the first MMA tournaments in American history and supported the sport at Great personal and financial costs through the dark days of "NHB" And the cable ban

we lost jobs relationships and opportunities because we made sacrifices to help lay the building blocks of the sport we all enjoy today

Yet these drama queens try to spin my statements as to suggest that i am claiming to be THE (singular)
founding father of MMA

....good thing you guys remain annoymous

What a disgusting attempt to deceive

I diddnt "bring it up"

LARRY HOLMS DID ....stupid

You sound like your trying to hurt my feelings

LOL!!!!

A smaller man can learn a lot of the idiosyncrasies about heavyweight competition and be a competent trainer however you will never be as good as someone who was a heavyweight competitor themselves

Come on, a great competitor doesn’t make a great coach, yet a fat competitor apparently makes a great coach, better than any non HW, according to you? That’s illogical. Butterbean isn’t better at coaching HW’s than Freddie Roach.

no you're right

It's not a guarantee of anything

this thread is about a mathematical averages and what gives someone the advantage over the compendium

if you give me a hundred lightweight competitors and a hundred heavyweight competitors you're going to find more Competant heavyweight coaches out of the heavyweight competitors overall cuz they've "been there and done that" in the very unique class of heavyweight just like Max Stacy and Larry explained

How many turtles have you played with? and what's your favorite species.

I don't think you understand that in this context, 'a' vs 'the' doesn't make a tremendous amount of difference. You're clearly trolling and people have repeatedly called you on it.

I am sure you're every bit of a baddass as Steven Seagal. Maybe one day you can showcase your skills to Vladimir Putin also.

Working as an aquatic reptile specialist you get to play with lots of chelonians

Thats kinda the point but I actually preferred the crocodillians

Feeding can be kinds rough but I would have to say niloticus, porosus and acutus are most dear (was around them in childhood) while rhombifer was simply awesome in their intelligence

Dont expect you sent me a friend request

Guys who "like to tease" like you stay well hidden

LOL

Probably don't get much excitement working at Starbucks

Dont blame u for teasing

Well look at that...not only are you a world class heavy weight wrestling coach you're also a herpetologist. You never cease amazing us ...

oh....

I'm afraid that little word makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE in that statement and its spin potential

I think you jumped on the wrong bandwagon and now feel stupid

that's understandable

hopefully you learned something before you're old enough to sign a contract

I participated in laying the "paving stones" for the sport with literally thousands of others

I didn't CREATE THE SPORT singlehandedly

Its a disgusting attempt to spin and deceive to suggest i said the latter

You get a kellyanne....

So you preferred working with saltwater crocodiles, what is more ill tempered Snapping turtles or a porosus.

I tease people from my personal facebook account all the time. If I took people trying to take swipes at me personally I'd have never made it past the first time someone told me to kill myself lmao.

Don't be modest bro. It's too late anyway. You're the godfather of martial arts. I heard Bruce Lee once trained with you to learn how to translate his system for his heavyweight students.

I've worked in skilled nursing facilities all across the US for the last 8 years. I have treated a lot of old people. I have treated a lot of fat people. Very few of my patients are both old and fat and the ones who are......suffer a much lower quality of life compared to the thinner/more average residents. They also pose a much greater burden to their care takers.

I'll pray for you. If we can't help you then maybe Jesus can.
