He found his distance, picked his shots, mixed his crisp boxing with some beautiful spinning shit, broke Justin's nose with the same kick hall ko'd Mousasi, and he never went into brawling mode.

Well, except in the last seconds where he ktfo the guy notoriously known for not being easily ktfo, and faceplanted him.

Legendary performance.

90% of Sherdog thought Max would get hurt badly.
He proved almost everybody wrong in the most amazing way: beat Gaethje up for 5 rounds, could’ve had a safe decision win. Instead risked it in the last few secs of the 5 round and knocked the dude out cold.
This is definitely a WOW fight.

that broken nose kick was kind of a fluke. Max was spinning back to Justin intending to go to the body and then Justin tried to close distance by ducking and walking into it. You probably won't see that again.

Well as I said we saw that already with hall VS mousasi

Max was timing Gaethje's duck with that spinning kick all night though. Probably wouldn't be able to break his nose as bad if they rematched, but had his timing down with reads all fight. I think the fight was more competitive until the nose break though.

Its essentially what happened when Barao fought Wineland.

Not really a fluke, it happens when you close your eyes and duck your head while closing the distance. More of a mistake on Gaethje's part, but fights finish all the time die to a mistake or lapse of judgement. We'd ve calling every single technique that lands a fluke by that standard.

Max looked great (as I have been predicting) but lets not get too carried away here.

Justin was clealy bothered by the broken nose and eyepokes. In reality the fight overall wasn't as dominant as people now make it out to be. Justin was fairly even through the fight and won RD4. It's stupid how people think Justin was totaly dominated because he got KO:d with two secons left.

That was indeed some legendary shit. Rogan is prone to exaggeration but his reaction was genuine and warranted in this case. And LMAO at Topuria trying to play it off, looking super uncomfortable in the crowd.
