How come the American commentators can pronounce "Du Plessis" well but not "Pantoja"?

Doo-play-see is okay to pronounce but not Pan-toh-HA?

What does Joe-say Aldo think of this?

Hate the way they pronounce Aldo’s first name. Don’t sit right w/ me the way most Brazilian’s pronounce things. They no hespect nothing.

honestly the way they say it i thought it was pronounced fantasia

To be fair they mispronounce Tom Aspinall's first name too.

Can't tell if troll thread or just ignorant about Pantoja

Took 'em long enough to get DDP's right. Still don't roll the R, which is understandable

It does not matter much to me cause it comes from foreign dudes. I dont expect them to pronouce it perfectly. And if you take du plessis name, you ll see that a "good" pronounciation is nearly impossible.
The guy is from south africa with ancesters from holland who probably came from France themselves.
So which is the good way to pronouce it the french, dutch or english / american way ?
