You need to educate yourself by reading about head trauma. It’s not the impact on the area that causes the brain to be hurt, it’s due to the motion of the skull being stopped (or worse, reversed) and the brain still coming forward from the intial momentum. When the brain hits the inside of the skull then you have your KO. His massive neck and traps help stop his head from whipping backwards due to the impact and therefore minimize the impact of the brain on the inside of his skull.
Not every fighter who can eat big shot s has a huge neck. I don't disagree with the concept of having a strong neck being beneficial but explain fighters without necks like on romeros spectrum being able to take and absorb lots of punishment.
You need a chin to go along with a neck.
