At the moment, every fighter can give at least 1 eyepoke without risking losing a point or the fight. (you either get a warning or it's a NC) Fighters know this so some people are trying to exploit it by intentionally poking 1 time.
I think last nights main event made it clear that referees should just take 1 point right away after the poke. Fighters will be much more carefully if they know that every eyepoke (even unintentionally) will result in a 1 point deduction right away.
In terms of what to do when the fighter can't continue is a tricky one, bc if you give them a win you might see a lot of fighters "quit" like Duffee last week. But for now, 1 point deduction right away should be a good start to prevent eyepokes.
