I think sandwiches are the pinnacle of Human culinary.

Reuben, Cuban, Patty Melt, and a runny egg breakfast sandwich are the Mount Rushmore of sandwiches. Also, they all beat the ever living hell out of all other foods. Simple, tasty, and almost impossible to fuck up.

I'll partially agree, and those are all damn good sandwiches.

For me, The gyro and Italian beef outperform the Cuban and Patty Melt.

If any of you are ever in NYC hit this place up

It is a hole in the wall type establishment, but it is goddamn amazing

I had a chicken bahn mi the other day.

It was fine. Tasted nice, but I've tasted better.

Your post is my point.
Why would you bother to take the time to assemble those ingredients betwixt slices of bread if it wasn't a superior method to enjoy all said componants.
The reason you do it is because it’s better.
Liked for the use of the word betwixt.

A toasted PBJ sammich is simple, easy, and really good.
I have a big soft spot for the occasional fish finger or crisp sandwich. I imagine they're the kind of thing only a Brit would eat though.
Fish fingers not sure about, but can see the "Count" handling many fishtix.

Last night I made a fine Middle Eastern style Kofta platter(lamb and herbs, tzatziki, hummus, tahini, red onion tomato salad, and Pita, for dinner. I loved every bight.
Today I took the same leftover ingredients(reheated when necessary) and carefully measured them out and added to the pita to eat in the form of a taco.
It was vastly superior today. The constant connection between the protein, veg, sauce, acidic element, and the starch made every bite seem like the best bites from my dinner last night.
I think tacos, burritos, wraps, stuffed crepes, stuffed pita are all sandwiches.
Also, the Banh mi is imo is the finest in the world, followed by the Ruben.

Ditch the cold cuts chicken and instead poach some chicken breast in advance and slice it for your sandwiches when you need it. Way better.

I recently made that switch and wish I had discovered it sooner.

I agree and I'll do that sometimes... I know the sodium in cold cuts is bonkers...

I was just hungry and lazy and that's what I had in my fridge.

Go back to bed eating your food products unassembled. Don't need you here.
Dude 666 is the one who lit the Bunny signal. I just came to kick some ass, fill the room with uppercuts, and be the alpha bunny there to save my Sherbro.

Your bread wrapped beef is with @666 for calling in the thunder bunny prematurely.

I like a good LTL (lettuce, tomato and lettuce) in a lettuce wrapper just like everyone else does.

I enjoy making these pitas with blackened shrimp, hummus, feta, alfalfa sprouts and cucumbers that is baller. Kids love it too. Sans tomatoes, since they wanna act like little bitches... Extra for me though.
